11. Second hearing for the court case

Next morning,

Mini lost in thoughts, got ready in her jogging attire and came out of her room. She saw Rani.

Rani: Mini di... 

Mini: Main jogging ke liye jaa rahi hu... thodi der me aa jaungi...

Rani: Par meri gal ta sun lo...

Mini: Ha bolo..

Rani: Dudh wala nahi aaya hai...

Mini: Abhi tak kaise nahi aaya?

Rani: Neil bhaiya ne na usko sar pe chada rakha hai.... har roz doodh late la raha hai vo... aur meine Neil bhaiya ko keha si.... vo menu kehn lage... kisi kaam me late ho gaya hoga..

Mini: Vo to yahi bolega na... Uska itna accha dost jo hai.....(realising) Dost?... Are ha... main yeh kaise bhul gayi.... (to Rani di) Neil kahan hai?

Rani: Vo to so rahe hai apne room me...

Mini: (to herself) Main hi baat kar leti hu.... (to Rani) Me thodi der me aayi...

Rani: Tussi jogging ko hi jaa rahe ho na?..

Mini: Ha.. 

Doorbell rang.

It was Kirpal.

Mini opened the door. 

Rani: Dekh lo didi kitna late aaya hai yeh..

She took milk and went upstairs.

Mini stopped him.

She talked to him and then went for jogging, lost in deep thoughts.

Some time later,

She came back to the haveli smiling brightly.

She went directly to Neil's room.

Neil was combing his hair.

Mini came inside his room. 

Mini: (excitedly hugged him.) Neil!....Mil gaya....

Neil: (astonished but happy to see her happy) Kya mil gaya?

Mini: (parting from him) Tumhari problem ka solution... Chef Neil Oberoi.... Witnesses mil gaye hai dono...

Neil: Kaun hai?

Mini: Ek to tumhara dost Kirpal... and second, (to be revealed later)

Neil: Maine to yeh socha hi nahi.... Kya baat hai Mini Madam... Smart ha....

Mini: (teasing as usual) Smart to main pehle se hu.... bas kuch logo ki tarah baat baat pe state nahi karti....

Neil: (with his sarcastic smile) Hmm...

Mini: (smiling) Chalo ab main Preet ko call kar leti hu.... vo nikal rahi hogi Pind ke liye... Bye...

Neil: (in mind) At least smile wapas to aayi face pe...

Next day,

It was final day for divorce case.

Neil was in the hall waiting for Mini. She ran down on the stairs and slipped at the last one.

Mini: (with closed eyes) Ouch....

She was about to fall but Neil held her.

Mini: Sorry... (She stood back)
