At evening, It was recess time.
Mini: (To Neil) Neil..... Rani di pind ja rahi hai to Lala Uncle ghar gaye the Arya ke paas.... But unse Arya sambhalne waali hai nahi to... Tum yaha sambhaal lena... Main haveli ja rahi hu....
Neil remembered his nightmare and got tensed. But he shrugged his thought thinking it was just a nightmare... Kuch nahi hoga...
He nodded to Mini. Mini left from the restaurant.
Some mins later,
Neil got a call from Bobby.
Neil: Hi Bobby...
Bobby: Neil... tum city hospital aa sakte ho abhi?
Neil: Ha... Kya hua?... Kaun hai hospital me?
Bobby: Vo... Mini...
Neil: (tensely) Mini?.... Kya hua Mini ko?... Abhi hi to nikli thi yaha se...
Bobby: Uska accident ho gaya hai.
Neil: WHAT?..... Main abhi aata hu...
The restaurant staff: Mini Madam abhi to theek hi thi... Kya hua?
Neil: Accident hua hai... I need to go... aap log yaha dekh lena pls...
He ran outside the restaurant and drove to the hospital as fast as he could.
As soon as he reached the reception,
Neil: Mini Babita?
Receptionist: Room no 109, third room from the right side.
Neil: Ok...
He came towards the room but Nurse stopped him.
Nurse: Rukiye. Aap abhi andar nahi jaa sakte. Doctors check kar rahe hai.
Doctors were checking her. Neil was walking to and fro outside the room.
He was not able to see Mini as she was behind the green curtain.
Bobby came.
Neil: Kaise hua accident?
Bobby: Vo mujhe bhi nahi pata... Meri mini se kuch der pehle hi baat hui thi isiliye accident spot pe jo log the unhone last dialled hone ki wajah se mujhe call karke bataya. Maine turant tumko phone kiya kyunki restaurant jyada paas hai na city hospital se..... Mini kaisi hai?
Neil: Abhi to doctor check kar rahe hai aisa bolke nurse dekhne bhi nahi de rahi....
Dr came outside.
Neil: Dr... Mini kaisi hai?... Accident jyada severe to nahi tha na?
Dr: Aap?
Neil: Her family.
Dr: Unconscious hai.... Treatment to kar di hai..... But hosh nahi aa rha unhe.... Abhi hum kuch keh nahi sakte.... jab tak unko hosh nahi aata... (and they went)
Neil remembered his nightmare and sat on the bench with a thud. His heart seemed as if it had stopped beating. His breaths slowed down and tears flowed from his eyes on his pale face.
Bobby kept his hand on Neil's shoulder.
Bobby: Khud ko sambhalo Neil Bhai... Sab theek ho jayega....
Neil looked at Bobby and said emotionally.
Neil: Kaise sambhaalu Bobby?...Kaise sambhaalu khudko?.... Bol na.... Mujhe sambhalne waali to khud andar.... hosh me hi nahi hai...... Kal raat sapna bhi aaya tha mujhe.... yeh sab dekh ke main khud ko sambhal tab bhi nahi paa raha tha... to ab kaise?... yeh doctor bhi pata nahi kya bakwaas kiye jaa rahe hai.... Kaha tha kal hi maine Mini se... mujhe mere parents ka bhi aisa hi nightmare aaya tha subah 5 baje... But Mini ne bola tha kuch nahi hoga usko... (kept his hand on Bobby's hand which was on his shoulder) Mini theek ho jaayegi na Bobby?
Bobby: Ha Neil Bhai... Mini bilkul theek ho jayegi...
Another nurse came with a registration form.
Nurse: Aap inka registration form bhar dijiye.
Neil held the form and he remembered his nightmare and also his parent's accident nightmare, his hands shivered.
Neil forwarded the form to Bobby.
Neil: Bobby... Main nahi bhar paunga... Itni himmat nahi hai... tu form bhar de na plz....
Bobby could understand his pain and took the form.
Bobby: Ha.... main bhar deta hu.... par ek baat kahu.... Main samajh sakta hu... Tum dare hue ho.... Mini ke liye.... Par himmat rakhna.... Mini ko abhi zaroorat hogi tumhari Neil... Vo tumhe aise dekhegi to usko kaisa lagega... Sambhalo khud ko.... Apne dil se puchu... Tumko khud yeh jawab mil jayega ki Mini theek ho jayegi.
Neil: Yeh log milne bhi to nahi de rahe na lekin... pata nahi kaisi hai vo... dil baitha ja raha hai mera....
Bobby: Dr se baat karte hai... shayad maan jaye milne dene ke liye...
Neil: Hmm...
He got up and went to the dr with Bobby.
Neil: (to dr) Can we meet her doctor... plz?
Dr: (seeing his condition) Agar unko hosh aa gaya to hi aage hum treatment status pata kar payenge... warna reports ka wait karna padega... Par phir bhi... you can meet her.... jaise hi unko hosh aata hai... Nurse ko inform karne ke liye bhej dijiyega.
Neil: Thank you doctor.
Both walked to Mini's room and Bobby saw Neil was sweating and was tensed to the core.
They went inside her room and saw her. She had a bandage wrapped around her forehead with a small bandage on her neck and crepe bandages on her right hand and right ankle.
Both stopped for almost half a sec at the door and Neil's eyes flooded with tears.
Bobby stood near the bed, with tears in his eyes seeing her condition.
Neil sat on her left side and he couldn't even hold her hand, because of the drip. He kept his hand on her head and looked at her emotionally with tears flowing down from his eyes. His throat was blocked.
Neil: (in mind) Mini.... Tumhe pata hai... yeh doctors bol rahe hai ki vo kuch nahi keh sakte jab tak tumhe hosh nahi aa jaata... Par mera dil keh raha hai ki tum bilkul theek ho jaogi... Haina Mini?... Aankhein kholo na plz... Tumhe pata hai na ki main nahi reh sakta tumhare bina?... Kal tumne hi bola tha na ki tumhe kuch nahi hoga.... Mujhe kyu tang kar rahi ho phir... Uth jao na... Plz... Uth jao....
He cried, closing his eyes.
