At the restaurant, after the corporate lunch, everyone was out for some work. Neil was sitting in the kitchen. Mini came to him.
Mini: Main ghar jaa rahi hu...
Neil: Ok.
Mini left.
There was still an hour for everyone else to come back.
Neil put on songs on his phone and started cooking something for himself while dancing. He was dancing when he saw Mini at the door of the kitchen smiling at him. He knew he was dreaming about her. The song changed.
Kehte hain har ek dil mein chhupa
kahin pyaar hai
Bas pehchaane jo koi
He forwarded his hand to her and Mini kept her hand on his hand.
Na jaane kis pal kahaan kaise
khhota qarar hai, qarar hai
Naina lag jaaye jo kahin
He pulled her towards him and twirled her. She kept her hand on Neil's hand and other on his shoulder. Neil firmed his hold on her hand and kept his other hand on her waist. They swayed together.
Nazdikiyon ka pata..
Hai dooriyan de gayi
Their pace quickened with the music. He was smiling looking at her.
Mileya mileya mujhe.. par meinu jaaneya nahin

Mini's eyes glistened, and a smile spread across her beautiful face.

They fell in step, letting the rhythm control their movements.
Suddenly the music changed its pace. They slowed down with the music.
Haan.. der se hi toh sahi
Haaye.. dil ko kisi pe hai yaqeen
He drew her close. She could feel her cheeks burning and she knew that she was blushing hard. His smile grew bigger seeing her blush.
Chhoote na, Chhoote na..
Ab ye laali chhoote nahi
His grip tightened on her hand, and he gave a comforting squeeze.... making her heart skip a beat.
Tu bas ja mujh mein mera ban ke hi
Their moves quickened with the music.
Mileya mileya mujhe.. Par mainu jaaneya nahin
Mileya mileya mujhe.. Par meri suneya nahin
They danced together, with their body close, with his hand still grasping hers.

phir te main bhuleya sabhi
He twirled her around and swayed with her.
Na na.. nana..
Na na.. nana..
Neil delicately tucked her lock behind her ear, and Mini's eyes twinkled back at him in greeting.
They came closer and their faces were inches apart. Neil could feel a different spark in her eyes today.
She smiled at him with a slight blush and parted.
Mini: Kya hua Neil Oberoi?... Aaj bahot acche mood me ho...
Neil: Bas ainvayi...
Mini: Vo to main apna purse bhul gayi to pata chala ki tum restaurant me itna enjoy kar rahe ho... Warna maine to miss kar diya hota...
Neil face changed from happy to confused.
Mini: Kya hua?
Neil kept his hand on her cheek.
Mini was confused at him now.
Neil: Tum sach me ho?
Mini understood that he thought it was his dream and that's why was so comfortable.
Mini: (smiling brightly) Nahi to kya?... (to tease him) Tum din me bhi sapne dekhte ho?
Neil shocked, retreated back his hand. Mini controlled her laugh.
Neil: Ha...(Mini was surprised at his honest reply).... Mera matlab... (feeling awkward now) Nahi... Nahi... Aisa kuch nahi hai... Vo to bas..
Mini: (teasing) Vo to bas?... Aage?
Neil: (not able to get any excuse) Leave it.... Tum yaha kaise?
Mini: Bola to abhi ki purse bhul gayi thi...
Neil: Kitchen me?
Mini: Ha... Vo raha dekho piche rakha hai.
Neil passed her the purse.
Neil: (awkward) Sorry if you felt uncomfortable now....
Mini : No... I didn't feel uncomfortable... I enjoyed it... (not to make him feel awkward) Bye.. Main ghar ja rahi hu... Take care....
Neil: Bye...
Mini left smiling brightly and Neil blushed reminiscing the dance.
