He sat down on one knee..... kept her foot on his lap. She was confused but then he took out two anklets from his pockets and made her wear one.... she was surprised.... then took her another foot and made her wear another one.

Neil: Yeh mere mom ke anklets hai....papa ne gift kiye the... unki 20th marriage anniversary pe.... reminding her of the promise he made to her, to be hers, beside her, with her.... till his last breath.... which he did fulfilled.

Mini felt the baggage of emotions he was carrying with the anklets and the feeling he wanted to convey by giving these to her.

Mini: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEIL"

She hugged him tightly. Neil happily hugged her back with a huge smile on his face.

Neil cupped Mini's face.

Neil: "THANK YOU MINI.....thank you so very much".....meine saalon se apna birthday celebrate nahi kiya....jab se mummy papa gaye hai tabse kabhi me apne birthday pe kabhi itna khush nahi tha....tumne aaj mujhe itni khushiyan dedi hai na apne birthday pe ki me bata nahi sakta.... "THANKS FOR EVERYTHING"

Neil: Woah... Candles and all?....

Mini: You like such surprises na.

Neil: Ha par.... (holding her by her shoulders, he bent closer to her from behind) I didn't know ki tum itni romantic bhi ho sakti ho....

Mini blushed at his compliment.

Mini made him bend a little and kissed him on the corner of his lips. His smile grew bigger with his blush and looked at Mini. She was blushing hard, lowering her gaze.

He twirled Mini and turned her the other side, backhugging her.

He ran his fingers around her neck tracing her collarbone. She closed her eyes feeling his blissful touch. Her heart raced and shiver ran down her spine.

She with her eyes closed, tilted her head, and leaning her back on his torso. He closing his eyes, slided her hair to the other side, bent his face closer to her and kissed at the nape of her neck.

Neil's face was above Mini's, while he was lying close beside her, his one hand behind her head and the other around her waist.

Her hands were on his chest, holding his shirt lightly. They looked at each other and was lost in each other's eyes.

With their bodies so close, their heart raced and they could feel each other's deep breaths on their faces. Both were blushing hard while their faces were inches apart.

It was a lovely moment for both. Neil raising his eyebrows, looked at her deep eyes. She smiled and closed her eyes, giving her consent to him.  

He closed his eyes too and moved closer.
