Just then, they heard Arya's anklets sound, as she was coming upstairs.
Mini quickly wiped her face and so did Neil.
They got up and Arya came inside Mini's room.
Mini: Kya hua Chutanki?... Tum soyi nahi?
Arya came to her and hugged her tightly. Mineil were confused.
Arya parted with tears in her eyes.
Mineil sat on their knees.
Mini: Ro kyu rahi ho?
Neil: (caressing her hair) Kya hua?
Arya: (To Mini) Tum mujhe chodke kahin nahi jaogi na?
Mini: Kabhi bhi nahi!
Arya: Saroj Mami ne bola ki tumhari shaadi ho jayegi to phir tum apne ghar chali jaogi...
Mini: Abhi koi shaadi vaadi nahi ho rahi hai..
Arya: Par kabhi na kabhi to hogi na... Phir to tum apne ghar me hi rahogi na?
Mini: Ha... apne ghar me hi rahungi main.
Arya was emotional.
Mini: Lekin tumhe to pata hai na mera ghar kaunsa hai?
Arya: Shaadi ke baad to dulhe ka ghar hi dulhan ka ghar hota hai na... to to tum Neil ke ghar me rahogi na?
Mini: To batao Neil kaha rehta hai?
Arya: Abhi to hamare saath rehta hai. Par yeh to rule hai na ki shaadi ke baad girl apne ghar se dusre ghar me jaati hai.
Mini: To?... Toot jaane do Rule.
Arya: Rule todte hai to paap chad jaata hai na.
Mini: (smiled caressed Arya's face) Matarani se meri deal ho rakhi hai na.... Mujhe koi paap nahi chadhta... Haina?
Arya smiled and nodded.
Mini: To?... Tension kis baat ki hai?... Tumhe chodke kaun ja raha hai?... Neil bhi yaheen hai... Main bhi yaheen hu....
Arya looked at Neil. He smiled at her.
Neil: Yeh to aapko pehle hi samajh me aa jana chahiye tha na Choti Madam. Aap to bahot smart ho phir kaise nahi samajh aaya yeh aapko?
Arya: Main dar gayi thi... ki kahin Veerbalika mujhe chodke to nahi chali jaayegi.
Neil: Kabhi nahi... Main aur aapki Veerbalika hamesha hai aapke saath.
Arya hugged them tightly.
Both kissed her either cheeks and hugged her emotionally.
Neil held her hand and gently gave an assuring squeeze.
Neil: Chalo ab mere kuch questions ka jawab do Choti Madam.... Yeh batao ki family kya hoti hai?
Arya: Jo ek dusre se pyaar karte hai... care karte hai... jinke liye aap kuch bhi kar sakte ho... usko aap apni family kehte ho.
Neil: Good... To ab yeh batao ki aap hum dono se pyaar karte ho?
Arya nodded.
Neil: Hamari care karte ho?... Hamare liye kuch bhi kar sakte ho?
Arya nodded.
Neil: Good.... Ab yeh batao ki kya apko lagta hai ki aapki veerbalika bhi aapse utna hi pyaar karti hai?
Arya nodded.
Neil: Vo bhi aapki utni hi care karti hai?.... Aapke liye kuch bhi kar sakti hai?
Arya nodded.
Neil: Ab yeh batao ki aapko lagta hai main aapse utna hi pyaar aur care karta hu?... Aapke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hu?
Arya nodded.
Neil: (happily) To hum ek family hue na?
Arya nodded.
Neil: Ab yeh batao ghar kya hota hai?
Arya: Jaha hum rehte hai usko apna ghar kehte hai.
Neil: Yeh answer to wrong hai... actually... aadha correct hai...
Arya: To pura correct answer kya hai?
Neil: Jis jagah pe hum hamare apno ke saath rehte hai na... jis jagah hamari apni family hoti hai... us jagah ko ghar kehte hai... Samjhe?
Arya: Ha.
Neil: To hum, Aapki Veerbalika, Aapka genie, Aur aap... ek family hai... aur hum jaha bhi rahenge... saath rahenge... usko hi apna ghar bolenge... Ok?
Arya: (smiling) Yes!.
Neil: Kabhi family ek dusre se alag rehti hai?
Arya: Nahi.
Neil: To aap kyu rahoge hamare bina... Aap hamesha hamare saath hi rahoge na.
Arya: Hmm... (turned to Mini and held her hands) Veerbalika.... Mujhe pata hai ki Saroj Mami jhoot bol rahi thi aur tum papa mumma se bahot pyaar karti thi.... par phir tum Australia kyu chali gayi?
Mini: Padhne ke liye Arya... Jo course mujhe karna tha usme mujhe admission mil gaya isiliye gayi thi main.
Arya: To yaha kyu nahi padha tumne?
Mini was confused about how to explain it to her. Neil kept his hand on her shoulder. She turned and Neil blinked his eyes in assurance. He turned to Arya and Mini was looking at him.
Neil: Aap karate seekh rahe ho na Veerbalika se?
Arya: Ha.
Neil: Aapne interschool competition me part bhi liya hai... haina?
Arya: Ha.
Neil: Usme aap jeet gaye to aap select ho jaoge na regionals ke liye?
Arya: Ha... main usme bhi jeet ke dikhaaungi.
Neil: Uske liye to aapko Chandigarh jaana padega.... aap yaha rehke nahi jeet sakte?
Arya: Yaha thodi na ho raha hai vo competition.... mujhe participate karne to jaana hi padega na.
Neil: Vaise hi jis course me aapki Veerbalika select hui thi na... vo Australia me tha... usko padhne ke liye usko Australia jaana hi tha na?.... Yaha thodi na padha rahe the vo log vaisa course.
Arya nodded understand now and smiled brightly.
Mini smiled seeing how Neil had coaxed her again and made her smile.
Arya: (smiling) Matlab.... Main sahi bol rahi thi na.... Tum mummy se gussa hoke nahi gayi thi na?
Mini: Main to kabhi Babes se gussa reh hi nahi paati thi.... Pata hai na tumhe?... (with a hope of yes but uncertainty in her eyes) Babes ne bataya hoga na yeh to?
Arya: Ha.
Mini smiled with tears in her eyes.
Mini: To kyu darna hai... Meri chutanki ke man me dar ke liye koi jagah nahi hai... meri chutanki to brave hai na.
Arya: Hmm..
Mini made Arya lie on the bed and sat beside her. Arya hugged her by her waist and kept her head in her lap. Neil was sat on the chair beside the bed. Mini patted her head while singing lori for her, closing her eyes, reminiscing her babes singing it for her.
After some time, Mini opened her eyes and saw Arya had slept peacefully and Neil also dozed off, keeping his head on his elbow, supported by the handrest of the chair, uncomfortably.
Mini made Arya sleep comfortably on her bed, tucking her under her blanket. She came to Neil kept her hand on his cheek and as he was not sleeping comfortably, he woke up, still in sleepiness.
Mini: Aaram se jaake apne room me so jao... Bahot neend aa rahi hai tumhe...
Neil: (blinking his eyes in sleepiness) Hmm.... Good night.
Mini: Good night.
Neil went to his room.
