134. Mini suffers a cardiac arrest.

Mini was standing near the kitchen platform and Neil was making tikkis.

They were having a usual talk.

Neil: Chalo ab tikki to ban gayi hai... serve kar deta hu abhi.

He turned, washed his hands and was taking out the serving plates.

Suddenly Mini felt her heartbeat getting slower.

Mini: Neil!

Neil looked at her tensely listening to her weak voice and came to her.

She was getting pale.

Neil: Mini?... Kya hua?

Mini held his hand and kept it on her chest quickly.

He felt her heartbeats getting slower.

Mini: Achanak cha..k...k.ar.. (couldn't speak further)

Neil: (tensed) Mini! Take deep breaths....

Mini was not able to comprehend what he spoke. She had her eyes half closed by now. Her breaths were getting slower and heavier.

Neil: Mini! Are you listening?

Neil saw that Mini closed her eyes... and she was about to fall. He held her tightly and made her lie down on the ground itself. She had fainted. She almost stopped breathing. He kept his hand on her chest and felt her heartbeats almost stopped. She was suffering from a cardiac arrest.

There was no option other than CPR now.

Neil started pushing down his intervened hands deep down on the centre of her chest.... about 30 compressions and then tilted her head a little back to elevate her chin. He pinched her nose and blowed air into her mouth 2 times for about a sec. Then again gave her 30 compressions. He again blowed air into her mouth and gave her about 10 compressions when...

Mini gasped for air.

Neil stopped. He kept his hand on her chest lightly to feel her heartbeats getting normal again.

She slowly started breathing. He had a sigh of relief with tears in his eyes.

Mini slowly opened her eyes, feeling out of strength.

Neil was looking worriedly at her.

Mini held his hand and tried getting up but failed.

Neil kept his another hand behind her head and helped her get up. She, still sitting on the ground, held Neil's hand lightly and tilted to take the support on his chest.

Neil wrapped his arm around her to hold her safely and prevent her from falling.

After some time Mini's heartbeats normalized but she was still breathing slowly.

She tapped on Neil's hand as she was not able to speak, patting on her chest.

Neil picked her up and took her to the bathroom.

She stood, taking the support of the wash area and had a vomit.

Neil holding her tightly, rubbed her back to comfort her. He helped her wash her face while she was breathing slowly.

Neil lifted her up as she was feeling weak already.

He made her lie on the couch and caressed her hair while she closed her eyes.

After few mins of breathing slowly and deeply.

She felt better. She opened her eyes and saw Neil's eyes were getting flooded with tears but he was wiping them off before they could fall.
