"It could be a puppy

"It could be a puppy. Or a kitten. If it is I hope it's a black cat. Everyone says they're bad luck but I think they're really cute" Aurelia said. Hook had made her close her eyes as he led her to wherever her surprise was.

"Or it could be monkey. Like the one from Friends. Although I don't know where'd you get a monkey. I guess wherever you can a puppy or kitten" she said.

"It's not a monkey," Hook said, as they stopped walking. "So it could be a kitten?" she asked.

"I didn't get you a pet. Although I'm starting to think maybe I should have" he said.

"I'm sure whatever it is I'll love it," she said.

"I hope that's true. Open your eyes" he told her. When she did, she blinked a little to adjust to the light.

"The library?" she asked, realizing they were standing on Main Street.

"Not the library, love. But what's inside" he said, pushing the door open as she walked in.

Aurelia gasped as she turned to him. "You wrote me a book?" she asked.

"I told you, you wouldn't be able to guess" he laughed, leading her toward the back.

"There was an empty room back here that I convinced Belle to let me have. Well to let you have" he said, pushing open another door and flicking on the lights.

Easels and empty canvases littered the room. There were empty paint cans and brushes that had yet to be used. A few small chairs and sofas weren't huddled together in the corner.

"I remember you told me how you used to paint a lot. Before Neverland" Hook said. "I was supposed to show you ages ago but then Gothel and Zelena happened and then time travel happened."

"So you did this.... for me?" Aurelia asked as she walked around, looking at everything he had put together.

"Well Belle helped, a little. But yes I will take credit for most of it" he said.

Aurelia smiled as she walked back over to him. "This is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me," she said.

"I figured you needed a place to celebrate the quiet moments," he told her.

"The quiet moments?" she asked.

"Aye. Like the one we have right now" he said, his lips barely able to brush against hers before the light suddenly clicked off, engulfing them in darkness. "Bloody hell."

Aurelia let out a small laugh, allowing her hair to glow to give them some light.

"I almost forgot you could do that," he said, running a hand through her hair.

"Come on. We should probably go see what's going on" she said, taking his hand as they walked out of the library.

"Looks like it's the whole town," Hook said as he looked up and down the block.
