Hearing the crying screams of Cordelia, Belle headed upstairs curious to see if everything was okay. Cordelia had never been much of a fussy baby, something they all figured had to do with the sunflower's magic.
Or maybe just the fact that Aurelia was her mother.
Either way, Belle walked into the nursery expecting to see some sort of disaster. Instead, she just found a fairly normal scene of Aurelia holding Cordelia, pacing back and forth as she tried to null her crying.
"I know. I know. But you really don't have to cry, sweetpea. You're gonna make me cry" Aurelia said as she gently swayed Cordelia in her arms.
"Everything okay?" Belle asked.
Aurelia turned, obviously startled, and forced a smile on her face. "Oh, Belle! Hi. Yeah, um, everything's fine. Just um, rough day, I guess."
"Where's Killian?" Belle asked.
"Um. He's not...he's, um, away" Aurelia said.
"Away? Where?" Belle asked.
"Well, it's um, well he's currently in an undisclosed location," she said.
Belle looked at her confused. "Right. When's he coming back?"
"That would also be undisclosed," Aurelia said.
Growing concerned Belle walked into the room. "Did something happen?"
"No. No, nothing happened. Why would you think anything happened? Nothing happened" Aurelia said, talking faster than usual.
Belle nodded, figuring something was definitely wrong. "Okay. Well, um, I'll be downstairs if you need me."
Aurelia just nodded, smiling at her before she went back to trying to calm Cordelia down.
Belle turned and walked out of the room, immediately pulling out her phone to call in backup.

When David walked into the home, he too was startled by the loud cries. But when he walked upstairs he found a much different sight than Belle did.
Aurelia was sitting on the ground with Cordelia in her lap, tears streaming down both of their faces.
"Lia! What happened?" David asked as he rushed over to her.
Quickly looking up, Aurelia wiped the tears from her face as she struggled to put on a smile. "David, hey. I didn't hear you come in."
"Lia, what's wrong? What happened?" David asked, taking Cordelia from her.
"Nothing hap-"
"Belle already called me. Where's Hook?" he asked.
"Um..."
"Aurelia. You can talk to me. I can't help you unless I know what happened. Did you two get into a fight?" he asked.
