Ling Wei protested but was ignored
"the auspicious time is here"
Long Yi Sheng said then sent the child away.
Ling Wei looked at the baby longingly and sighed regretfully
"I really want to keep him, I don't even know his name!"
Long Yi Sheng's curled upward
"Someday you'll have your own"
Ling Wei remembers that she has a challenge for the groom but Xiong Tian already announces his entrance.
Ling Wei glared at Long Yi Sheng
"This is all your fault! I don't want to give Nini away! I am not ready yet"
Ping Mu and Fu Si who was under the spell of cuteness woke up as well and felt helpless.
"little girl don't say that! Your friend will feel tangled if she hears you"
Fu Hai said while carrying the baby his grandson.
Ling Wei pouted Ling Bin pat her head and comforted her
"Captain Xiong said that her parents suggested staying here in the capital, they don't want their daughter-in-law to be sad"
Ling Wei's reden eyes widen
"for real? They are good people! Our Nini is blessed but, they are more blessed"
Ling Bin chuckled and just nodded.
"General let me borrow your cute overload grandson"
But Long Yi Sheng pulled her away
"the groom and bride are about to come"
So the child was again ignored.
Ling Wei looked over and saw that the bride was now carried at the back by her brother.
After the ceremony, Lu Nini was led to their bridal chamber, she was extremely nervous but at the same time happy.
After the veil was lifted, Xiong Tian finally saw his wife's face, he was amazed and smiled softly.
Even the scar on his face softens which makes his complexion look gentler.
Lu Nini blushed and wanted to hide her face but Xiong Tian held her cheeks to stop her
"my wife is very beautiful, it is true so no need to be shy, here eat something first"
Lu Nini took the osmanthus cake and ate it while being watched by Xiong Tian
"hurry up and go out, your brothers are waiting for you"
Xiong Tian sighed heavily remembering the visitor but, after looking at his wife his mood lifted a bit.
"then wait for me okay?"
He said after a peck on her lips.
Xiong Tian's brothers-in-arms become evil, especially Long Yi Sheng.
He made sure that Xiong Tian would be dead drunk before returning to the bridal chamber.
Xiong Tian got drunk but his alcohol tolerance is too good so even though he drank a lot and after pretending to be dead drunk no one suspected.
His bridal night was still completed.
Lu Nini was escorted back by Xiong Tian after 3 days.
Ling Wei, Fu Si, Ping Mu, and Lu Nini meet in the afternoon at Lu's house.
They talked and laughed a lot like nothing had changed, for them it was pretty much the same because Lu Nini would still stay in the capital which was unexpected to them.
They already thought that after the 3rd day, they would be going back to Xiong's village.
After the wedding, the soldiers hurriedly left and went back to the north.
Ling Wei this time did as her mother and grandmother said and stayed inside her boudoir.
Lu Nini's life is full of bliss, her in-laws are kind and considerate and her husband is gentle and loving, although she missed her family but, as her mother said now that she is married, her new family is her husband's family.
After a month and a half, Xiong Tian's vacation is over.
His parents just reminded him to be careful and everything about being considerate of his wife and all.
Xiong Tian chuckled helplessly, since his wife entered the main door, his parent had completely set him aside and just focused on Lu Nini.
He is unsatisfied but instead gratified, he regrets that his parents have left by themselves for many years but now he is relieved, his wife is filial, gentle, and kind and his parents loved his wife dearly so he can rest assured.
Ling Wei, Ping Mu, and Fu Si visited Lu Nini the day after Xiong Tian's departure.
The three of them snort seeing her panda-like eyes.
Fu Si was the one who first laughed so Ling Wei and Ping Mu finally let out the laugh they are holding back.
"you little girls are evil! I was so heartbroken and yet you are here laughing?"
Lu Nini said grievously.
Ling Wei paused her laughter and said
"at the very least we visited you"
"then thank you so much for visiting me"
"you girls have a really good relationship"
Xiong mama said while watching them making fun of her daughter-in-law
"Mother, how can you say it? Can't you see that they are laughing at me?"
Fu Si snort
"so it is good to act like a baby to your mother-in-law?"
Lu Nini suddenly regained her pride
"of course, my mother-in-law loves me dearly"
"you little cheeky"
Ping Mu said while pinching Lu Nini's cheeks which earned a bout of laughter.
When the three of them left Lu Nini's sadness is lessen.
"your friends are really good"
Father Xiong commented seeing her daughter-in-law finally smiling.
Lu Nini smiles brightly while nodding, her friends are the best.
After a month of Xiong Tian's departure, a big news came
Lu Nini is two months pregnant!
When Xiong Tian received the news he was ecstatic and wanted to hurry back home but his buddies pulled him back.
"We are still in the middle of conquering another country you blockhead"
Fu Hai said angrily which made him withered.
"Captain Xiong when we are done here I am sure the general will grant you another vacation, but now that your wife is pregnant please be more careful"
Ling Bin advised kindly.
Xiong Tian sighed and nodded, he would be more careful but he would make sure to go home before his wife gave birth.
Ling Wei and the others were surprised then happily congratulated Lu Nini.
