Ling Chun came down personally to fetch his daughter.
"Why did your mother let you drive alone?"
He asked worriedly making Ling Wei smile helplessly
"Dad, I have been driving for a while now! What is wrong with me coming here alone?"
"I know but"
"Dad stop worrying! Hurry up and do your things"
Ling Wei said disrupting Ling Chun, he sighed and finally changed the subject
"Have you eaten? If not then wait for me, Let us have lunch together"
Ling Wei smiled and nodded then clung to her father's arms.
"I missed the food in your company's cafeteria"
Ling Chun chuckles
"Okay, we'll eat there then"
When the father and daughter are out of sight, the employees finally make a sound
"Wow! Miss Ling has blossomed beautifully!"
"Boss is regaining his vigor again"
"And you noticed that the boss's smile is reaching his eyes!"
"You are right! It is good that Miss Ling is finally awake"
"Miss Ling is really beautiful that I am jealous!"
"Sister let us just dream about having a beauty like that!"
"You're right!"
Then the girls sigh sadly.
"I am truly glad that Miss Ling is finally awake"
Then all of them nodded and resumed working.
"Dad do your things! I am fine here"
Ling Wei said when they arrived at Ling Chun's office.
Ling Chun nodded but did not forget to ask his secretary to bring refreshments and snacks for her while he was away.
Ling Wei giggles at the snacks that were prepared for her.
She is really treated as a child.
While waiting, she looked around to study her dad's office, basically no change since she was young, but the atmosphere of the whole company seemed solemn.
Her dad is hiding something from her.
She sighed and took out her sketchbook to empty her mind.
Before she finished her sketch, her father returned and invited her for lunch.
Ling Wei acted just like before, she did not sit in the VIP seat and chose to stay with the employees.
They lined up like always and chose their food.
The old employees are already used to this action of hers.
Ever since she was young, whenever her dad brought her here, she would always do the same.
The new employees are pleasantly surprised but seeing that the old employees did not react much, they comprehend the situation without asking.
"Oh my!"
Ling Wei suddenly exclaimed while eating, Ling Chun and the employers near them looked at her with surprised
"What's wrong?"
"Dad! I forgot the call, Mom!"
Ling Chun chuckled and smoothened her worry
"I already did! If I did not call her do you think she won't call you?"
Ling Wei quietened down and nodded.
After clearing up her worry, Ling Wei is finally able to enjoy her meal happily.
"Weiwei, Dad has some spare time today, why don't we visit your fiancee's company? I heard that he is currently there, let us officially end your engagement with him"
Ling Chun suggested, he saw the article this morning, his daughter had woken up, she shouldn't be subjected to this kind of shame and entanglement with messy people.
Ling Wei paused for a while then nodded.
"Dad it's fine with me"
Lin Chun heave a sigh seeing her acquising without questions.
He is proud of his daughter for being sensible but at the same time feels at a loss, she is too sensible to the point that whatever they ask her, or tell her to do, she will surely do it without hesitation.
If he can, he will choose her being a little hard-headed, just like before, whenever she asked to do the thing she didn't want to, she would act like a baby to change her parent's mind.
While Ling Chun's mind is flying, Ling Wei's mind is absent as well.
She is not sure how to face him, but sooner or later she has to do it so better be done with it earlier.
Ling Wei insisted on driving but Ling Chun did not allow her, in the end, Ling Chun's driver drove her car to bring them to their destination.
They did not stay inside the car for long, in then minutes they arrived.
Ling Wei just glanced at the tall and majestic building and followed her father.
She has no interest in his wealth even for a bit.
Because they did not make an appointment they have to go through the reception.
Ling Wei was led to sit on the couch while Ling Chun is communicating with the receptionist.
Ling Wei glanced at their way and frowned seeing the mere receptionist acting high and mighty.
She stood up to inquire about the situation, when she got near, Ling Wei clearly heard what the woman said
"Sir, our President cannot just meet whoever wants to meet him"
Ling Wei touched her father's shoulder and said in her usual sweet tone
"Dad, it seems that this place is really for high and mighty people, we are not yet ready to ascend"
The people who were watching the show slightly turned pale
"Miss, what is the meaning of your words?"
Ling Wei raised her eyebrow
"As a people with high intelligence like you all should understand my meaning!"
"Are you cursing us?"
"Are you sure that you will ascend?"
Ling Wei asked back making the people around tongue tie, Ling did not want to waste any more time with these people so she led her dad away.
After taking three steps, someone called Ling Chun
"Mr. Ling! I was not informed that you would come"
Ling Chun shook his head,
"I heard that President Hu is here, but it seems that my timing is not right, by the way, Assistant Xiao, This is my daughter Ling Wei"
Ling Wei shook her hand with the man and stayed quietly.
Assistant Xiao noticed the atmosphere was wrong so he asked.
"The President is truly here, Mr. Ling if you want I will lead you to him"
"No need sir"
Ling Wei cut in
"But, please kindly convey our world to your President that the Ling family has been waiting for the official cancellation of engagement between our family, the deal with both sides has been fulfilled so there is no need to wait further"
