Chapter 19: A Beginning of Zee

Nunew's POV:

Zee came closer to Nunew and he bent his body a little. He brought his lips closer to Nunew's right ear so that Nunew could feel Zee's breath. Nunew tried to react normally.

Zee: Finally, you found me. That's mean you are not annoying with me anymore, right ?
Nunew: Err ...
Zee: After what we did last night, I don't think you are still annoying.
Nunew: ....

Nunew cleared his throat. Zee then looked at Nunew's face with a meaningful smile. He knew Nunew was nervous.
Zee: So, what are you doing here ?
Nunew: P'Perth told me you are going to Dubai to get your Master Certificate. It's 3 years, right ?
Zee: Yes, why ?
Nunew: Do you really need to go now ?
Zee: What do you mean, Nunew ?
Nunew: I don't know but I'm sad to know that you will leave Thailand.
Zee: You sad because I will you, right ? It's not because I will leave Thailand.
Nunew: ....
Zee: Why ? Hmm ? Don't tell me you already fell for me ?
Nunew: ...
Zee: You said to me last night ... 'Tonight, you will be with me but tomorrow you will be my past.' So, am I your past ? Hmmm ? I need answer for this, Nunew.
Nunew: ....
Zee: Are you happy with me last night ?
Nunew: Yes, I'm happy and I never felt in that way.
Zee: So, am I your past ?

Those words repeated in Nunew's mind many times. What did he just see in his mind? Airport? Dubai? Who is the man in his mind? He tried to see clearly, but he failed. He could not see or recall the man's face. Who is he? Why is he busy haunting his mind?

"Nunew !!!"

Gun, who had just returned from a nearby restaurant to buy breakfast, was surprised to see Nunew, who looked like he was having a bad dream. He went straight to Nunew's room because he wanted to wake Nunew up for breakfast, but something else happened. Without wasting time, Gun then ran to the bed and sat on the bed next to Nunew.

Gun tried to pat Nunew's shoulder gently to wake him up. After trying many times, Nunew finally opened both eyes. Nunew wakes up and his eyes look teary. Is he crying? Nunew looked at Gun's face while taking a deep breath.
Gun: Nunew ... what happened ? Are you okay ?
Nunew: Gun ...
Gun: Hmm ?
Nunew: I saw someone in my mind. 
Gun: Who ?
Nunew: I don't know. I can't remember. He ... I mean ... we met at the airport and ... Dubai ? He said he will go to Dubai ?

Gun was surprised. He knew the man Nunew was talking about as soon as he heard the word Dubai.
Gun: Dubai ?
Nunew: You know him ?
Gun: Nunew ... I don't think you should force yourself to recall back all those memories. Take it slow, Nunew.
Nunew: Gun ... you know him ?
Gun: Nunew ... take a rest, okay ? I think you are tired. Don't force yourself. It will makes you stress. For now, you need to rest. Understand ?
Nunew: But ...
Gun: Nunew, don't be stubborn. We came here to keep you company so you can calm down and clear your mind. You just woke up from a long coma. So, you need peace of mind.
Nunew: ....
Gun: Don't think about it too much. Once you are ready, I'm sure you will remember everything in the past. Okay ?
Nunew: Krub.

Gun smiled sweetly. Then, he got out of bed and walked towards the window. Without wasting time, he then opened the windows and curtains so that the morning light entered the room. The air this morning was very fresh and soothing. Then, Gun looked at Nunew's face.
Gun: By the way, I went to the restaurant and bought breakfast for us. Do you want to have it right now or later ?
Nunew: Let me take a bath first.
Gun: Okay. Me and Cooheart will be waiting for you.
Nunew: Okay.
