Reading and Kombat

Krystal's POV

As I slowly woke up, I sense Skybrine's presence. I tried to sit up, but I could stop myself from wincing at the pain from my left arm. I'm pretty sure that surprised Skybrine.

"Oh, um, Krystal, you're, uh, awake," he stuttered. I was confused until I saw the book in his hand.

"Were you reading Rose Of Secrets," I asked him.

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yes," Skybrine confessed.

"Come on Skybrine, wanna read it with me," I asked getting up from my bed, then wincing at my arm.

"You okay," Skybrine asked me. "Yeah, it's just my arm," I replied "it kind of hurts."

"Don't worry," Skybrine told me, I blushed to that.

Why am I blushing? He's Herobrine's son and I'm Herobrine's test subjects, I guess. But, he's kind of cute... GOSH SHUT UP KRYSTAL!

"So wanna read from where I am or where you left off," Skybrine asked me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"How far behind are you from the bookmark," I asked him. "Um, by 50 pages," he answered. "Where I left off then," I told him.

~ An Hours Of Reading Later ~

"I ran through the forest," I read from the book "following the voice of my friend's distress. Branches rushed past my face, leaving scratches, but I didn't care." Skybrine then yawned a little.

"Really, Skybrine," I looked at him, but he looked bored. "Sorry, but it's been hours already," he said yawning gain "and I'm a little bored."

I rolled my eyes and placed the bookmark in place before closing the book. "Wanna go exploring then," I asked him "we'll have a contest. If we find the Gaming room, we'll play Mortal Kombat. If we find any rooms that interests me, were going in there. And don't worry, we won't go into the library if we see it."

  "You're on," he jumped up, and ran out as I ran after him.

~ Minutes Later ~

I got teleported to Skybrine and saw the entrance to the Gaming room.

"Kombat it is," Skybrine smiled at me. "Hold on," I paused him "When I said we were gonna play Mortal Kombat, I meant play Mortal Kombat F."

He looked clueless a me "Mortal Kombat F?" "Yeah, a new secret Mortal Kombat game few people know about," I told him "that's why I said early if you wanted to create some characters. But, if you want, we could skip the creating and get to playing.

I formed an electric ball and automatically created a character for Skybrine.

"Let's get gaming already," I said running in.

~ Hours Of Virtual Blood And Fighting Later ~

I cover my eyes to avoid the special finishing move as Skybrine whined at the defeat.

"What the," he started cursing, but I ahead of time covered my ears as well. "Is the blood bath and you cursing over," I asked. He shook me which symbols that it was over.

I uncovered my eyes to see it wasn't over! "Why, Skybrine, why," I cried. I then yawned.

"You tired," he asked me. I yawned "Not too tired for the winning round."

I struggled to stay awake, but I managed to beat Skybrine before I fell asleep, luckily skipping the bloody special finishing move. But, I fell a sleep on Skybrine's shoulder, I hope he doesn't mind.
