"i don't know what you're talking about joshua, but if you could please collect your stuff and be out of the building without the help of security in the next ten minutes, that would be fantastic."

i cannot believe this.

i walk to the elevator with all my stuff in a box.

i walk inside, but before i have a chance to press a button, someone clears their throat.

"what come to kick me in the stomach? you've already thrown me to the ground."

tyler looks down and then back at me.

"i- i just wanted to say goodbye."

"no. no you don't get to say goodbye."

tyler huffs.

"so this is it? this is how it ends then?"

i ignore him and click the button and look at him as the doors slowly shut.

"josh."

"mr. joseph."

that's the last thing tyler hears from josh.
