When He Writes You A Letter

"Hello! I'm here!"

I knocked on the door but it's not just a typical building, Survey Corp HQ, the girl's dorm or the market area, instead it was my house, the place where I used to live with my family. This is not our original house though since our old house was broken down when the titans breached the Shiganshina district so we decided to transfer in Wall Sina since my dad has job there while my mom stays at home being an actual housewife. Why did I come here? Well, to put it simple, I came here to visit since I haven't seen for like a long time so I asked Commander Erwin for permission if I could have at least a few days off so I can stay in my family's house and good new is that he agreed which I'm really thankful and my friends said that they're gonna miss me especially Levi because he gave me a good-bye kiss session and a hug before I left HQ which is really sweet of him and he said he will miss me very much since he won't be able to see me visiting his office.

Anyway, I waited for their response for a while then eventually the front door was opened and I looked to see my beautiful and caring mother right in front me on her regular clothes. She gasped and her eyes started to sparkle when she started to speak, "(Y/N)! Oh my goodness! I never thought I would see you with my eyes!". She gave me a big hug which I gladly accepted it when I hugged her back. "Hehe, I'm glad to see you too, Mom. Where's Dad? I wanna tell him some of my titan killing expeditions,  my omni-directional gear skills and such that I had for the past few weeks!". My mom patted my head like I'm still a little kid and said, "Your father? I'm sorry, but he went to work, (Y/N). But he did leave you a present before he left". You nodded and sighed yet my mom reassured me. "Don't worry about your father for now. Why don't we go inside? I prepared your favorite blueberry pie that you loved since we were still in Shiganshina", my mom suggested which made me nod happily since I loved my mom's cooking and both of us stepped inside the house.

A few hours had passed and I spend most of my time reading some old books that I used to read before, ate home-made cooking made by my mom, chatted with my mom about the scouting legion that I joined in and many more. After all of those stuff, a messenger arrived at our house and gave us a bunch of mail. My mom bid the messenger good-bye and I look through some letters for a while. "My my, it's been a while since we received mail. I wonder if our bill will arrive at some point this time of the month", my mom said as she sat down on the couch and started reading her favorite book. Then, I saw a letter that caught my eye and it almost made me scream: a letter from Levi. I placed the other letters on the coffee table and clutched Levi's letter on my hand. 'Oh my goodness...Levi sent me a letter...I wonder what he wrote. I guess I should find out for myself', I thought and quickly opened the letter. I took out the message from the envelope and it says:

'Dear (Y/N),

I never thought I would send you a letter too soon but I guess I can't help it since I can't see you in a few days. Anyway, you're in your family's house or should I say your home, right? You know, I was thinking if I could meet your parents someday and pay a visit at your house too. I'm pretty curious to be honest because I really want to know more about you and get to know your parents when I get there, it might be interesting. If you're asking how I am doing here, well, let's just say it's normal but some cadets couldn't get to clean properly and some did some laps due to some rule breaking but that's not all, I get pretty occupied with paper work like all the time in my office all day, tch. Though, the cadets trained very hard to fight for humanity which is the good thing and I guess you can say, I'm a bit proud but I'm sure Erwin is really giving them hope and confidence to fight against the titans. And, I'm really hoping those cadets will get to pick a right choice without any regrets during battle. 

Anyway, I hope you are doing well there and I miss you very much, (Y/N). I just wish you are here because I get a bit lonely when you are not by my side but I know in my heart, you love me very much. Once you're back, I can't wait to have you on my arms and your lips into mine.

My heart started to beat and melt at the same time from every word and sentence which literally made me sat down on the window sill and smile. I kept the letter on the envelope then afterwards, I grabbed a book and said softly while gazing at the window, "Oh, Levi...I miss you too like very much".
