Putting on my jacket, I grabbed Theo's hand and my purse as we headed for the door.
"Jackson, we're leaving!" I yelled.
"I'm coming!"
Opening the car door, Theo jumps inside as I buckled him in his seat.
"So, I'm not going to school today?" He asked.
"No, you are going to Aunt Mer's house, while I go to court."
"To get married to Jackson." He said bluntly.
"No...what would make you say that?"
Glancing over at Jackson who opened the driver's door, I casually glance over.
"What?" He chuckled.
"Nothing..."
Getting inside the car, I buckle up as Jackson drives out of the driveway.
"So, how long is this going to last?" He asked.
"I have no idea, probably weeks."
"Maybe Callie should've put a prenup on Sofia."
Slowly turning my head to look at him, he hesitates to make eye contact.
"Sorry, too soon."
"Very."
Turning up the radio, I rested my head back on the seat and watched as we crossed the bridge.
"Mam?"
"Yeah."
"Did you see this?"
Turning over my left shoulder, I look back at Theo who is handing me back my phone.
Looking at the video, there was an interview done with the parents on a 7-year-old boy named Mohammed Abdel Majeed.
"What is it?" Jackson whispered.
"It's a boy from India, who's being flown to the United States for surgery," I said.
"What does he have?"
"Progeria Disorder."
"What's that?" He said as he turns down Meredith's street.
"It causes premature aging on children. It affects 1 in 20 million kids around the world."
"Whoa...is he coming to Seattle?"
"They're in New York, but the interviewer said that Elena Shepherd is the best WR in the country and to head to Seattle."
"You speak Hindi?" Theo asked.
"Some of it, but there are subtitles sweetie."
Getting out of the car, Theo jumps up with his backpack ready to go.
"Okay, you ready?"
"Yeah."
Walking up to Meredith's door, Maggie it opens it."
"Hey, Sofia. Look who's here?" Stepping aside Sofie comes into the room to see Theo standing at the door.
"Theo!"
"Sofia!"
"They are energetic this morning." Maggie whispered."
"They haven't spent much time together since Sofia now goes to school."
"Hey, Avery! Elena!" I hear Callie said.
"Hey, you ready?"
"Yeah."
