"How did shooting go?" Mary asked as Rachel, Sam, and Glen walked into the living room. Sam ran a hand through his hair.

"I can't even." He said and went to the bathroom while Rachel laughed. She held up the target she was shooting at and the middle was full of bullet holes.

"She did better than him, and I didn't think that was possible." Glen said and Rachel laughed. Sam came back.

"Give me a break, I haven't gone shooting in what? Four years? I plan on having a rematch before we leave, Berry." Sam said, giving her the 'I'm watching you' gesture, causing  her to laugh again.

"Sure thing, Evans." She winked at him and he chuckled.

"Well, how would you like to take Rachel on a little tour of town, Samuel?" Pa asked. Rachel looked at Sam and grinned.

"Yeah! Can we?" Rachel asked, giving him the puppy dog eyes. He rolled his eyes playfully.

"I don't get why you're doing the eyes, I was planning on showing you around already anyways." She grinned and clapped.

"Yay!"

TIME SKIP

7:30 PM

After showing Rachel his old elementary school, middle school, and high school that he went to for a year, as well as all the places he used to hang out with his friends and the baseball field, the whole family went to the BlueBird Cafe for dinner.

"Did you have fun?" Sam asked, putting an arm around her as they waited for their food to arrive. She nodded and kissed his cheek.

"I loved seeing where you grew up." She said."And all your stories about when you were younger, and I do want to see his baby pictures and videos." Rachel said the last part to Mary, who nodded.

"Trust me, you will." She said. Sam pouted.

"How long are you guys staying?" Glen asked.

"Well, we're actually leaving Friday to go to LA for a couple of days to look for a place for us to stay when we're in LA, then we're going back to Ohio until her birthday, then she'll be going to New Orleans and I'll be in LA." Sam answered. Rachel whined slightly at that. He chuckled and kissed her head. After they finished their food, they decided to do some karaoke. Liz and Stacy sang a song together and then Rachel sang a song, which was surprisingly country.

I don't want another heartbreak
I don't need another turn to cry, no
I don't want to learn the hard way
Baby hello, oh no, goodbye
But you got me like a rocket
Shooting straight across the sky

It' s the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centrifugal motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's, ah, impossible
This kiss, this kiss
Unstoppable
This kiss, this kiss

Cinderella said to Snow White
"How does love get so off course
All I wanted was a white knight
With a good heart, soft touch, fast horse
Ride me off into the sunset
Baby I'm forever yours"

It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centrifugal motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's, ah unthinkable
This kiss, this kiss
Unsinkable
This kiss, this kiss

You can kiss me in the moonlight
On the rooftop under the sky, oh
You can kiss me with the windows open
While the rain comes pouring inside, oh
Kiss me in sweet slow motion
Let's let everything slide
You got me floating
You got me flying

It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centrifugal motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's (ah) subliminal
This kiss, this kiss
It's criminal
This kiss, this kiss

It's the way you love me baby
It's the way you love me, darlin'

It' s the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centrifugal motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's (ah) subliminal
This kiss, this kiss
It's criminal
This kiss, this kiss

It's the way you love me baby
It's the way you love me darlin'

Everyone applauded her and she grinned, sitting back down. Sam pecked her on the lips and grinned at her.

"That was awesome, babe. I've never heard you sing a country song. Well, other than the one you sang with Puck a couple years ago." She giggled.

"I knew you'd like it." She said. He smiled at her, and his parents and grandparents smiled at the way they were so happy together.

"Now, how many of you know who Sam Evans is?" Johnny, one of the men who has worked there forever, literally. Basically everyone in the Cafe said yes at the same time. Sam snorted quietly."I oughta known, all y'all are here every Sunday anyway, so of course you do." Everyone laughed."Well, the last time he sang here was when he was 15 years old. He was a short lil guy who had braces but had one of the best voices I've ever heard. Lil Sammy isn't so little anymore. He's 19 years old, y'all. Crazy, huh? I remember when he was this tall." He put his hand around his knee."And he was what, Mary?"

"Three!" She called. Sam's face was red as fire.

"That's right, three. He would always get up here with his dad or his grandpa and sang his little heart out, which is what he's done since then. Come on up, Sam." Sam stood up and sat on the stool next to Johnny, grinning. Everyone clapped."There's a big ol' difference, huh, son?"

"Oh yeah." Sam said."I actually have straight teeth and nice hair." Johnny rustled Sam's hair and Sam glared at him playfully.

"Sam is going to be singing tonight, too, just like his sisters and the lovely lady that sang a Faith Hill song."

"That's my girl." Sam said.

"Your girl?" Johnny asked.

"My girl." Sam said, grinning. He winked at Rachel.

"Well, you're a lucky man." Sam grinned. Johnny went to the controls so he could start the music when Sam was ready.

"Well, it's been a while since I've been in Nashville, and I've missed it." Sam said."Especially this place. I haven't stopped singing, which will never happen. The last song I sang here was 'Voices' by Chris Young, which is exactly what I'm going to sing now."

You could say I'm a little bit crazy
You could call me insane
Walkin' 'round with all these whispers
Runnin' 'round here in my brain

I just can't help but hear 'em
Man, I can't avoid it
I hear voices
I hear voices like

My dad sayin', "Work that job
But don't work your life away"
And mama tellin' me to drop some cash
In the offerin' plate on Sunday

And granddad sayin', "You can have a few
But don't ever cross that line"
Yeah, I hear voices all the time

Turns out I'm pretty dang lucky
For all that good advice
Those hard-to-find words of wisdom
Holed up here in my mind

And just when I've lost my way
Or I've got too many choices
I hear voices
I hear voices like

My dad sayin', "Quit that team
And you'd be a quitter for the rest of your life"
And mama tellin' me to say a prayer
Every time I lay down at night

And grandma sayin', "If you find the one
You better treat her right"

Sam winked and smiled at Rachel when he sang that part.

Yeah, I hear voices all the time

Sometimes I try to ignore 'em
But I thank God for 'em
'Cause they made me who I am

My dad sayin', "Work that job
But don't work your life away"
And mama tellin' me to drop some cash
In the offerin' plate on Sunday

And granddad sayin', "You can have a few
But don't ever cross that line"
Yeah, I hear voices all the time
Yeah, I hear voices all the time
All the time
