Jungkook finds it amusing that he's able to harbor so many bodies in his room, right above his parents heads, as it goes unnoticed. He can hear them downstairs now, as everyone has grown sleepy and quiet. It's late, but it's always late when his dad stumbles in after work, tripping over his untied shoes and swearing he only had one beer. A lot of mornings, Jungkook would find him on the couch, slumped over the cushions and snoring loud enough to wake up the neighbors.

It's no different tonight and it turns his stomach in knots. A part of Jungkook wishes that his mom wouldn't talk about the divorce when his father is in a drunken stupor, and maybe she won't. He also wants the situation to end and maybe his father would be easier to knock on his ass when his coordination skills are altered. His thoughts are racing when Jimin's cool hand presses against his cheek.

"They're talking." Jimin whispers. He guides Jungkook's face to his own and a small smile comes to his lips.

Jungkook lets out a breath he's been holding. "Mm." He mumbles his acknowledgment and turns slowly in his bed to pull Jimin closer in his arms. "I love you." He presses his forehead against his boyfriends and doesn't hesitate to take Jimin's lips in a serious of small pecks. "I wish you didn't want to do this."

"But I do."

"But I wish you would just stay here in my bed."

Jimin hums. "Maybe they won't fight, baby."

"They will, he's drunk."

"But they're only talking, I don't hear him yelling." Jimin sighs and rubs the pads of his fingertips against the worry lines developing again on Jungkook's forehead. "Maybe he wants to get a divorce, too."

Jungkook shakes his head and takes the others hand away from his face, giving it a small kiss before just holding it in his own. He's quiet for a moment, absentmindedly playing with Jimin's fingers. "Some part of him might, deep down, but he's too controlling to accept it. Marriage is so important to him."

"I think he takes it a little far, marriage."

"You think?" Jungkook grumbles.

"Do you think they're still in love?"

"They used to be really in love, when I was small." Jungkook huffs and he closes his eyes as the fleeting memory is already leaving his mind as soon as it arrives. "My father started drinking and he just got so... possessive. Of her, of me and my brother."

"Does he drink a lot?"

"Almost every night."

"Is that why he's abusive?"

Jungkook grimaces at the question. "Yes and no. He's abusive because of his personality, the drinks just brought it out, made it seem plausible. When you're under the influence you think differently."

Jimin pulls back from Jungkook's chest to look at him. "How would you know that?"

"Personal experience, love. Don't tell me you've never done it?"

"No, never."

Jungkook chuckles and pushes the hair back from Jimin's forehead to see his expression better in the dim light of his room. "Good. Don't, Mochi. It's not worth it."

"When did you ever drink?" Jimin questions, his tone heavy with concern. Anything involving drugs, alcohol, substance abuse, it was out of question. He refused it, no matter the countless times he'd been offered something before. He couldn't even stand the smell of cigarette smoke long enough to be around it as he'd pass somebody smoking on the street.
