Avatia's POV.

I walked into the extremely quiet house the next morning sending a small smile to Leo.

"Hi Ava, quite early today." He greeted me back with a rather wide smile. "Boss is having his breakfast so you might just sit and wait for him to come."

"Oh, I'd just go do my work." I said and turned to leave when I heard the clicking of shoes. My eyes followed the direction of the sound till the well polished shoe came into sight. I slowly looked up, eyes landing on a perfectly ironed and fitting tux. I felt too intimidated to look at his face so I just went on with a 'good morning.'

"So you came? Thought you wouldn't." I heard him say. How rude. The guy couldn't even reply with a good morning too.

"Yeah, I came back, so you thought wrong." I retorted. This guy was bringing out the worst in me.

The little scowl on his face turns to a full blown one. Good one there. At least that got him. I can tell no one speaks to him like that. Where I get this kind of courage, I honestly don't even know. "You know, you don't look like the mouthy type, you really don't know who I am and what I can do to you, do you? " He asked in an amused tone but I could tell he was just keeping his anger in one piece.

By this time, Leo was giving me a keep quiet look which I totally ignored. Mr. Black has to be told he can't just speak to people like that. Where I come from, we respect one another. "Well, Mr. Black, you see, I really don't know who you are, all I know is, you're one big arrogant person who thinks he can control anyone at anytime. You keep saying I don't know who you are or what you can do to me, so tell me. Who are you and what can you do to me?" I asked with a hand on my hip, ready to hear whatever he had to say. He stood quiet. "You can't talk anymore? I figured. Just so you know, you can't tell me what to do and what not to do."

This time, the amusement is visible. "I can." He says.

I pout. This man really is a pain in my butt. "Well you can't. I own my life and I decide who tells me what to do. And you won't tell me what to do." I look at him and that stupid amused look is still on his face. "Don't look at me like that."

He chuckled a bit and my heart skipped. Never have I seen a guy who can beat him in handsomeness. This was the first time since I met him that he has ever laughed or smiled. This man was everything. Everything about him screamed perfection. Even his chuckle and cute dimple on his left cheek melted my heart. "Have you seen how funny you look when you're mad?"

I snap out of my thoughts as my face starts to redden, a blush forming.

He chuckled again. "And it's even funnier when you're all red. You look like a chicken."

I looked down and smiled a bit, not because what he said was funny, but because watching him laugh was adorable. I was about to speak when I heard the door shut. When did he walk from here to the door? I didn't even realize.

"That's a first. The boss smiling, impressive. Anyways, you're stuck with me again." I heard Leo say. "Don't you bother sweetheart, I'll keep you company when I'm done with lunch."

What's a first? I mean everyone smiles. I speak up fast so he doesn't know I'm thinking about what he just said. "That sounds good. But I've got a better idea."

Here we are, Leo's sitting on the sofa in the painting room talking non stop about stars and I'm busy trying to get it on with the sea. Trying so hard to make this painting look real and cool. There's no royal blue paint so I'm kinda confused on how I'd finish this.

"That's so beautiful." Leo says.

"Really now? I thought you were saying something about Nicki." I tease him.
