I parked in front of what was my childhood house. The big black fence was perfectly repainted as if it was brand new. I took a deep breath and finally went out of my car taking the scan with me. I went to Tiana's side to unbuckle her seatbelt and without waking her up I carried her in my arms. She stirred a second but didn't wake up. I went to this big fence entering the passcode the hadn't change for years and walk along the lane for the house, making sure Tiana wasn't woken up by the sound of my foot against gravels. When I reached the door I knock knowing the housekeeper or Butler would come open. As the door opened on the face of the old Butler who used to help me with homework back in the days, my heart was heavy. He smiled at me as he opened the door wide open but his smiled disappeared as he saw Tiana.

"Young master," He quietly said.

He was the only one aware of my relationship with Tiana when we started going out. He was supporting us but couldn't go against my father and understanding that I never blame him for not helping me when I tried to defend our couple in front of my father. He always was one of the person I was the closest to in this mansion and he used to regularly watch the video of our studio when we were dancing.

"Your father have been in a bad mood since your call. It's not the right time to bring the young lady in here!" He said slightly panicked. I was warming to hear someone consider Tiana as what she is, a worthy woman, my soon-to-be wife.

"We need to see my father, right now." I said determinate.

"Did something happen?" He asked worried.

"A lot happened and it's time for it to stop." I said stepping in the house.

Nothing much had changed. The big marble stairs were still the same, same goes for the decoration. The big portrait of my grandparents was still proudly watching over who ever goes through this door from the superior floor. I looked at Tiana soundly asleep, she was smiling in her sleep and I could only be happy that for once she probably was having good dream.

"Your father is in his office as always. Give me the young lady, I'm going to put her to sleep in your room." He said, ready to take her in his arms but I shook my head.

"It's ok, I'll take her with me. I think she has a lot to say to my father too.

-But Young master...

-It's ok, nothing will happen to us. Don't worry about us, can you just prepare some hot tea for all of us?

-Of course I can." He answered softly before escaping to the kitchen.

On my side, I slowly went up the stairs, bowing my head down as my grandparents watched me. I felt like they were giving me more determination. I knew my grandmother loved the good side of my father and more than once had told him that using dirty way to get what he wanted would someday make him wrong. It was my role to make him understand that. As I reached the black and gold wooden door I knew I couldn't walk back so I took a deep breath in and kissed Tiana's one last time before entering in this room, knowing anything could happen in there.
