Our newly established intimacy brought us closely together, physically too. I thought I wouldn't be able to fall back to sleep after my lengthy slumber but as soon as Colby put an arm around me to pull me into his chest, my eyes fluttered shut. Relaxed, I felt as if sleep could come easily.

"You're nothing like Connor," I mumble, my eyes remaining closed.

"He better not still be outside," Colby half-jokes causing me to giggle.

I take Colby's hand in mine and gently toy with his fingers.

"I wouldn't be too surprised," I admit.

"Please stay here with Jasmine until he's gone."

"I'll think about it later," I tell him, wanting to savour this moment right now.

"Promise me you'll consider it," he snuggles his head into the back of my shoulder.

"I promise." I placed a small kiss on the back of his hand and he seems to relax into me. He's got a loyal and protective set of instincts, especially when I mention anything to do with Connor. I don't understand how Colby likes me so much.

"I just can't believe he's here," saying these words makes my mood turn dull.

"How did he find you?" whispers Colby.

"I don't know," I haven't paid much thought to it. I guess I subconsciously assumed that he worked out my location from the YouTube video but come to think of it now, the video isn't filmed at either of our homes. It was impossible to work out my address from it alone.

"Is there anyone in Colorado who knows your new address?" He asks.

"I haven't even told my mother what it is," I make a mental note that I probably should sometime. "But let's not talk about him." I try to divert the subject.

"Let's do something fun tomorrow to take your mind off it. How does sneaking out of the house to go film another exploration video in a desolate location sound?" Colby holds one of my hands in his now.

I hesitate for a second. What if Connor follows? Then I realise that if an uber driver can unknowingly shake him off, then Colby can with ease. Plus, escaping for a day will throw him off if he's still watching me.

"Sounds good," I smile, a bit nervous. I wasn't sure how tomorrow would unfold but I trusted Colby to help me.

We fell quiet and I snuggled further into Colby's warmth.

"What are we?" I ask him, curiously. But immediately after I say it I recognise the hidden pressure my words put on him. I silently panic until I hear him finally answer.

"Human beings," he grins into the back of my neck. I'm glad he took that lightly.
