Chapter 03 : Thinking About Her

*Mei's POV*

- Friday -

I feel so nervous just thinking about my new Profession this coming Monday. I am more suitable in a Hospital or maybe a lab. But I don't have any other choice left. I sigh.

"A Biology Teacher huh." I muttered under my breath as I closed the book that I was reading.

I hope someone can help me about it.

*Kriiing!!! Kriiing!!! Kriiing!!!*

- Nezu is Calling-

"Yes, Nezu-sama?" - Me

"Mei, how are you doing? Are you comfortable in your new apartment?" - Nezu

"I am doing great! Thank You for finding a decent place for me to live, although the rent here is quite expensive but I think it'll work." - Me

"Don't worry about your rent. Your work can cover it up with no problem." - Nezu

"Yeah, I know." - Me

"So Mei, are you ready to be a Teacher?" - Nezu

"Honestly, No. I don't know where to begin. You already know that I don't have any teaching experience and I'm not that good in explaining things in front of a crowd." - Me

"Well, that's not a problem. You can ask your fellow Teachers to help you with it." - Nezu

"That would be embarrassing for me you know. I feel really nervous." - Me

"You can do it!" - Nezu

"Easy for you to say, since your quirk grants you superior intelligence that surpasses humans!" - Me

"Hahaha! You're still blunt as ever!" - Nezu

"Uhhhhhh." - Me

"Mei, can you meet me in my office at 06:00 in the morning this coming Monday? I need to tell you something very important." - Nezu

"Sure, I'll be there." - Me

"I'll call you again this Sunday, okay?" - Nezu

"Okay." - Me

"Take Care Mei! Bye!" - Nezu

"You too. Bye." - Me

He's checking up on me again.

Nezu is trying his best to act like he cares about me. But in reality, he's just too afraid of my quirk. I bet he wants me to get locked up inside of a cage or something, he must be hesitating thinking that I might actually hurt him upon trying that kind of thing to me. I chuckled.

He really does see me like a monster.

Like I would fall for something like that again.

"Tch." I hissed.

Anger and irritation was about to strike me, but when I saw the picture frame of my Family, I was able to calm myself down.

"Oka-san, Oto-san" I mumbled.

As I was holding the picture frame on my hand, tears began to fell down from my eyes. Remembering all the happy moments that we're still together. I know it's been years, but it still hurts.

I studied medicine for of my Mother.

She encountered a very powerful villain but she lose. The damage that my Mother took was very severe. Her organs were crushed, half of her stomach was destroyed and both of her lungs was slightly punctured. She was able to survive for 3 years, although she was already connected to a bunch of machines in our home. We tried everything just to make her feel better. My Father gathered a lot of Heroes that has a healing quirk and all of them tried to heal my Mother, but still she wouldn't get any better.
