The sun shone bright the next morning as Valerian kissed Sebastian goodbye and watched her husband leave to play a role he hated. She knew that she'd have to keep herself busy to stop herself worrying about how he was coping on set. Instead, Valerian had decided to spend the day with her niece as she was going to be back in England in a few weeks. Much to her disappointment, Valerian loved having her family around her. At least she had Tabitha, who she hadn't seen since the wedding, the two sisters really needed to catch up. Soon, Valerian promised herself.

Valerian stared at her niece curiously as she sat at the dining table, sipping her tea. There was something different about her. She hadn't grown, her hair was still short like Valerian's and she was still the shy teen she had been at Comic Con. What was it? There was an extra sparkle in her eye. That sparkle, it was so familiar to Valerian, was it love? Was her niece in love? She smiled internally at this thought, oh how the young grow up.

“So, are you excited about going back to England?” the Aunt asked, sipping her own cooling tea.

Isla shrugged, not meeting Valerian's gaze. “I guess, it will be nice to see my friends.”

“But you'll miss Connor?”

She nodded. “More than I expected to.” Isla sighed. “Anyway, enough about me. How are you doing?”

“Me?”

“Well, who else am I asking?”

The elder Cassanova female could not help but laugh at Isla's sulky behaviour. “As you asked so politely, I'm not too bad, it's Sebastian I'm worried about.”

The niece nodded. “Oh yeah, 'cause he's freaking out about being Bucky.”

“I wouldn't say 'freaking out' but-”

“Aunt Val, if I were you, I wouldn't worry, it's probably just a phase. I mean, he's just having a kinda mid-life crisis, acting-wise.”

“That's what I said to him.”

“It would seem that we Cassanova's give out good advice.”

“That we do.”

The young female shuffled in her seat, glancing at the clock. Valerian noted how she had been checking the time continuously for the last hour. “Isla, are you okay?”

She turned her attention back to Valerian, as if caught doing something terrible. “I-I'm fine. You know what I think?”

“What's that?”

“I think you should get a job.”
