Valerian was bored. Bored with reading her book. Book with sitting on the sofa beside the insanely gorgeous, Sebastian Stan. Who, she had to admit, was looking particularly ravishing today. Yes, Valerian was so bored that even the idea of kisding Sebastian until his lips were chapped was not appealing to her.
Placing her book on the coffee table in front of her, Valerian sighed, getting Sebastian's attention. "Was is it, Val?" he turned his gaze away from his book and to her.
"I'm bored." she huffed, clearly not interested in 'A New York Winter's Tale'.
Sebastian considered this for a moment before nodding, placing his book on top of hers. "Well, what do you want to do?"
"I don't know." she whined. "That's the whole problem, I don't know."
The loving actor noticed that she had been annoyed and twitchy for the last few days. Something was most obviously wrong. "Val, is everything okay with you?"
She met his gaze, bitting her lip, wondering if she should tell him her reasons for being so unsure. "Well..." she decided not to. "No, it's all okay. I am fine."
"Val," he took her hands in his. "you might as well tell me, 'cause you know that if you don't, I'm going to be very, very worried about you if you don't."
"I'm fine."
"Val-"
"Seriously, just drop it."
There was more biting of the lip and shuffling in her seat. How was Valerian going to explain about the text she had recieved a few days ago? "All right," she exhaled deeply. "a few days ago, I recieved a text from my ex, Jason. Do you remember that I told you about him?"
Sebastian merely nodded, his jaw clenching at the very name. That sonofa-
"Well," she continued. "in it, he said that he was sorry about everything he did, sorry for all the hurt he had caused me."
"If it was an apology, then why have you been acting so...odd?"
"'Cause if you knew Jason like I do, then you'd know that he's up to something."
How could she tell him her suspicions?
Sebastian was now feeling uneasy. "You think that he's up to something?"
She nodded. "And whatever it is, it's gonna be devastating." she paused. "And it'll probably break us apart."
Oh no, possible trouble in paradise?
