"Bucky, Bucky snap out of it!" Helena cried, trying to stop Bucky convulsing on the lawn.

The duo had been in the middle of a water fight, Bucky armed with water balloons and Helena, with a bucket which she would have to fill up at the hose. They were both drenched (Bucky looking rather alluring in a wet t-shirt but enough said on that subject). The Winter Soldier had been in running away from his girlfriend when the memories had resurfaced from his broken mind.

He had collapsed onto the ground, writhing in agony, having a fit of some kind. As soon as he had hit the grass, Helena had been at his side.

'I know him...' Bucky slowly stopped struggling, his limbs becoming slack from their exertions. His beautiful features contorted into a frown, if he hadn't been on the lawn, the blonde female would have thought he was talking in his sleep.

She leaned down closer to him, trying to hear what he was saying. "Bucky?"

" The man at the flat...he was my friend..."

Oh no.

"James, can you here me?"

"What are you doing?"

Helena leaned back slightly, assuming he had returned back to the present reality, he was usually confused after suffering one of his "episodes". He hadn't, he was still experiencing his dream.

"No, anything but that! Please, not the machine, not that, I'm begging you, I'll forget him, just...no...NO...NOOO!" suddenly, he started shrieking again, his hands trying to fight invisible enemies, most likely HYDRA soldiers.

There was nothing she could really do, except tell him that it was all a dream, from past experiences, it was up to Bucky to decide when he wpuld wake up, it was as if he was a sleep walker. "BUCKY, SNAP OUT OF IT! IT'S ONLY A DREAM!" but it didn't stop Helena freaking out.

His eye lids fluttered open, Helena hoped that the madness was over, that she had her Buchanan back. "You take a part of me and tear it up into millions of pieces everytime you wipe my memories. You steal my identity. I'm done fighting you...just...no more..."

Then he fell into an unconscious state, leaving Helena to stare at him, her eyes wide with shock and her mouth in the shape of an 'O'. "Oh, Buchanan, I'm so sorry."

Eventually, Helena had been able to get Bucky to a local hospital, there they had hooked him onto various wires and linked him to numerous IVs to help stabalise his condition.

The young woman had sat at a chair by his bedside all night, willing for him to wake up. It wasn't until four in the morning, he had awoken with a groan and attempted to sit up.

"Easy there, Soldier." she whispered, pushing him lightly onto the bed.

"Where am I?" he rasped, Helena immediately poured Bucky a glass of water, holding it to his parched lips so he could drink. "Thanks."

"You're at the hospital."

"I had a-"

"Yeah."

He leaned back heavily into the pillows. Bucky turned his head towards her, his blue eyes filled with tears. "Did I hurt any body?"

She shook her head.

"I remembered, Helena, I remembered what they-" he broke off, not wanting to continue his sentence.

"I know." was all she could whisper back. "I'm sorry." Helena bent down and kissed his forehead, willing herself not to cry in front of her wounded Soldier. "I'm so sorry."
