She watched the world on the other side of the glass slip away, beyond her view, beyond her reach. She thought about the boy in America, the one that had promised himself to her. The brunette female dreamed of his lips, those perfect lips that she so longed to kiss. She could imagine their union now, full of passion and longing. She yearned for him to be beside her, right there, right then. Why did she have to come back? He was there and that's where she should have been, yet...
...they were miles apart.
The thought of them being apart months at a time broke her heart. It made her want to weep but that was the price of having a high-paid job. She wondered if he felt the same. Was he thinking of her at that moment, thinking about where she was or what she was up to?
Then her mobile sprung to life, indicating that she had a text.
