Corbyn in a chicken suit is attractive.

Brayden's POV

I woke up extra early because Corbyn was going to pick me up so we could visit Jonah. I quickly put on some sweats, and a t-shirt and waited outside since he was close.

He pulled up and I hopped in.

"Hey," he said smiling.

"Hey. Why are you so happy this morning?" I asked him.

"My best friends okay and I got my girl with me. Life is pretty great," he said, a huge smile plastered across his face.

"Girl?" I asked, confused.

"I didn't mean it like that," he said.

I was hoping he meant it but things are a little weird. I can never tell how he really feels or how we are supposed to feel.

"I understood what you meant," I said smiling.

As we were driving to the hospital, Corbyn pulled into Starbucks.

"Why are we pulling into Starbucks?" I asked Corbyn.

"We are going to pick up a coffee for Jonah!" He said.

"Awww, he will love that," I said happily.

We grabbed his coffee from the drive thru and continued on our way to the hospital.

•••

We arrived to his room and he was up on his phone.

"We have a surprise for you," Corbyn said hiding the coffee behind his back.

"What is it?" Jonah asked.

"Ta-da," Corbyn and I said in unison while he pulled out the coffee and I did jazz hands.

"You guys are the best," Jonah said smiling from ear to ear.

He took a sip and I don't think I've ever seen him so happy.

We decided to stay with Jonah until he could leave.

•••

"Jonah has gotten his blood levels back to normal and as long as he rests he's free to go home," the doctor said to us.

"Ok! Thanks for everything," Jonah said as we walked out.

"No problem, if you ever need anything we are here to help," the doctor said to Jonah, waving.

"We need to celebrate," I said happily.

"Celebrate what?!" Jonah asked.

"That you're alive of course," Corbyn said.

"That's not necessary," Jonah said.

Jonah has always been so humble. He never wants to draw attention to himself and I admire him for that but he deserves a celebration.
