My boyfriend clicks off the website he was on, and blushes. "Nothing."
"What's 'Archive of Our Own'?" I ask.
"Really, Antonio. It's nothing."
I restored the tab, and glanced at it. "Fanfiction?"
"ANTONIO, I TOLD YOU NOT TO—"
"No, I don't really mind," I said. "There's nothing wrong with it, you know. We all have our own likes and such."
"Really? But it's...embarrassing..."
"I don't think it's anything to be embarrassed about, really." I scroll down the page. "Who's 'Jaeion'?"
"Oh, she's just a fanfic author. She's young, but talented, y'know. Also, she writes a lot of fanfiction that's totally gay – but who cares? It's HOT. I know, I know, I'm gay, dammit."
"Boku no Hero Aca—"
"That's an anime Alfred and Kiku have been trying to get me into for a while." Lovino's still all red, but he's smiling a little now.
His scowl quickly returns, though. "But don't tell anyone. I don't want anyone thinking I'm a weird person, dammit!!"
I nod. "It doesn't make you a weird person, but I won't tell anyone."
"Thanks." Lovi grins. "You know, it actually makes me feel better – talking to you about the shit I like when I'm alone."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Oh, also, you should watch BNHA."
"BNHA?"
"Boku no Hero Academia. Aizawa is fucking amazing, by the way."
I grin. "Alright, thanks. I'll take note."
"Good."

Lovino rolls his eyes and adjusts his glasses. "We're doing homework. Why are we still carrying on this conversation?"
"Because I'm interested!!" I protest.
"Fine. There are these things called 'ships'. It's basically when you think that two people are definitely meant for each other. By the way, this can apply both to real life and fictional people. Oh, but fanfiction about real people – like in the BTS fandom..." He shudders. "That kinda gets on my nerves. Oh, but fanart is okay, as long as it isn't offensive."
