Good Enough (Daddy! Jensen)

I sat on my bed as I heard my parents talking about my little sister and how great her grades were. I heard sigh "Y/n's grades are horrible." He stated to my mom I felt tears build up in my eyes, "they aren't that bad, a couple A's and some B's she's in high school Jey." My mom said I smiled to myself hearing my mom say that. I heard my dad sigh and stand up, I quickly grab my text books and start studying "finally studying I see." He says as he passes my room "at least I'm studying." I mumble as I start writing out what I needed to know. It was Saturday which is my day to practice guitar for my lessons on Monday, I set up and started running through the scales first "you're never going to be like Slash" my dad laughed as he came into the house. I sighed slamming my guitar down "CAN'T I JUST BE GOOD ENOUGH AS ME?" I screamed before running up to my room slamming and locking my door sliding down to the floor tears rolling down my cheeks "I'm never going to be good enough for him." I sobbed into my arms that were resting on my knees.  After an hour I heard a knock on my door "y/n? Can we talk?" My dad called through the door "why so you can tell me I'm not good enough to be your daughter?" I said back "I know I haven't been father of the year but I was just trying to get you to do your best." He said  I laughed no humor in my voice "oh yeah  by making me feel like every damn thing I do isn't good enough and that even if I tried my hardest you still kicked me down." I said "I'm sorry princess, I really am."he whispered I sighed and stood up unlocking my door "you better be, cause I rocked those scales better than Slash ever could." I said hugging my dad. Maybe I am good enough.
