Chapter - 6

Sanyukta's p.o.v -

Phone rings...

I was sleeping peacefully when my phone rings..I searched my phone without opening my eyes...got it..I slightly opened my eyes and saw Papa calling...

Hello Papa..

Papa - hmm jhia uthi pade...aaji thu daily
            morning re mu call Kari ki uthei
            Debi ok..nahele tu late re uthi bu
            au toh meal miss hei jiba.
            (Beta getup...from today I will
             wake you up by calling every
             morning ok.. otherwise you will
             wake up late and your meals
             will be missed)

Me ( in a sleepy tone) - ok Papa...after talking with Papa I got up and and brushed my teeth then went to bathroom..

Till 9 o clock me and my new friends all got ready and we were talking near our room..our rooms were very small and that gave me a cozy feeling.. it's like if I used to shout any of my friends name in my room they used to answer me from their rooms only.. hahaha funny na but yes we all became very close within two days only..

Sunita - uff a mess khaiba kete bekar
               (Uff our mess food is so bad)

Preeti - a bou kuhani kuhani Mo Munda
             ghuri galani a khaiba khai ki
             (Yaar my head is spinning after
              eating this food)

Mona - hmm government University re
              au kana expect Kari pariba
             ( What more we can expect from
               a government institute 😌)

Anita - ek toh 9:30 re lunch Dia houchhi
              direct raatire dinner..majhire toh
               kichhi nahi khai banku.
              (Firstly we are getting our
               lunch at 9:30 am..then we get
               food during dinner only..in
               between this we don't have
               anything to eat)

Me - hmm I know guys it's quite odd to
         have lunch at 9:30 but what can we
         do now...if we won't eat anything
          then we won't be able to
          concentrate on study right and that
          canteen food is too expensive...

Liza - yes guys we have to manage let's
           say it's our time to know how to
           adjust with everything..

Prangya - by the way Sanyu Tama

                    faculties you have in your
                  department?)

Me - six and you know what guys they
        are really really brilliant..

Prangya - yes we all know because whole
                  University knows that Zoology
                  department is the best 
                 department..

Anita - yes even I heard that every year
             the students of your department
             win the famous Chancellor Cup..

Me - yes our hod mam told us about this..

Anita - really yaar you are lucky to get
             this department..

Me - are nothing like that.. every
         department is good it's just you
         need to manage your department
          properly that too in a systematic
         way...I think that's the reason
         Zoology is so famous in the
         University..

Sunita - hmm that's true...ok it's 9:30 let's
               go for our meals..

All - yes let's go....

Like this time passed...there were buzz in ever department regarding the fresher's party....in between this our seniors tooks our introduction class and they were really strict..but nobody ragged us..but then in August 30 they arranged a grand welcome party for us and trust me they entertained us like there is no tomorrow..after welcome party they never treated as juniors but they became our loving elder siblings...

During this time many competitions happened in University...and even I got second price for our department in debate...and a boy named Subhasish of my department got the first prize as well as chancellor trophy for our department...

H.O.D mam was too happy for all the students of our department..

Everything was going good..best department best teachers..best class mates..best friends cum sisters in hostel..but only the mess food was not good 😓

One more person came in my life and she is my dear friend Jinishree( jini)..in my department everyone has their own set of friends only I was alone..but this girl came and sit beside me and we instantly clicked and became really really good friends..like we used be always together..and shared our notes foods and secrets as well..and I really felt blessed getting her as my friend...you know now a days when people are so selfish these persons of my life came as a blessing for me..they helped and cared for me selflessly...

Time passed and it was month of October...H.O.D mam informed us that from the last week of October seminars will be held in our department it's mandatory for every student to present their ppt..as we were juniors so mam informed that first the seniors will give the presentation then our turn will come..

Jini and me were busy in  in choosing our seminar topics...then suddenly one day our H.O.D mam came to our class and informed us that there is a vacancy for assistant professor post and many candidates have applied for that and very soon we will get one more faculty in our department...and don't know why after hearing this I was too much excited to see our new teacher....
