Song Choice: Hamilton - You'll Be Back

"Your spunk, your enterprising spirit, well, it reminds me a great deal of myself, if I may be so vainglorious. If things work out for you here, you could potentially make a fine successor, Five." The Handler said. "I'd like to discuss the logistics of my family's and (Y/n)'s safety at your earliest convenience. As well as this body replacement." "Such chutzpah. It's refreshing, I'll admit."

"(Y/n)! One of the 7 year olds is on fire again and I don't think he's gonna make it this time!" Melanie yelled out to her (H/c) friend as she ran to catch up with her. (Y/n) massaged his wrists as they still stung from the electrocution last night. "Just let em go. You'll all die someday, some just sooner than others. All those little assholes were going nowhere in life anyway." Melanie tilted her head forward to get a better look at (Y/n)'s pained expression. "You ok?"

(Y/n) stopped walking which caused Melanie to pull herself to a stop as well. (Y/n) bit her lip, thinking if she should say what's on her mind at the moment. "Melanie, do you... do you ever think about where you'd be if you didn't kill your parents?" Melanie looked away, trying to remember if she ever thought about it at all. "Mmmm, nope not really. Why?" "I don't know actually. I've just been thinking about things that I usually wouldn't think about lately. Yesterday I even thought about leaving the Facility! And that's terrible! I will always choose the side of the Facility! Lana means the world to me for saving me from a boring world!"

"Well, if you did decide to leave. I'd miss you." Melanie responded with a smile. (Y/n) smiled back, "I bet Tana would be the happiest if I left." Melanie nudged the other girl with her hip. "She would but I bet she wouldn't if I did. We're ride or die pals."

(Y/n) dropped her smile to a frown, saddened by the fact that she's too blind and stupid to see how toxic and abusive their "friendship" really is. "Melanie, she doesn't even like you. The reason she wants you around her is so she always has someone to back her up on everything." Melanie froze in her smile for a second or two then resumed again. "Of course I'll back her up, she'd do the same for me!" "No she wouldn't Melanie, has she ever done one nice thing for you?" "Duh! Well, only once. She complimented my outfit in the summer of 2017!" "When you asked her how your outfit looked she said you looked like an 80's gay mom. And Tana's homophobic so I wouldn't take that as a compliment."

Melanie seemed to be at a loss for words as she froze again. But then speak of the devil and the devil appears.

"What the hell are you two doing?" Tana said as she marched up to the two girls with her fists on her hips.

(Y/n) glared at her rival. "We were just talking. You're not in Lana's position of power and you'll never be so you can't control who we talk to." Tana's eye twitched. "I don't even care about what you're talking about, I just came here to grab Melanie to go to the bar with me downstairs." Melanie was about to go over to Tana before (Y/n) held out her arm to stop her from going any closer to the brunette in front of them. "Why do you need her?" "The bartender downstairs thinks Shakespeare is no longer relevant but I can't debate against him unless I have someone agreeing with every single thing I say and Melanie is the only person stupid enough in this building that won't go against me. Now let's go Melanie or else I'm telling everyone about your wet dreams." Tana growled and whipped herself around with Melanie scurrying after her.

"Oh and one more thing," Tana said as she turned back around to see (Y/n)'s unamused face. "you're looking really fat today." (Y/n) rolled her eyes, unfazed by her insult. "And your head is too big." Tana's eyes widened and marched back up to her. "IT'S MY BRAIN!!!" Tana screamed in her face then stomped off with Melanie right behind her.
