"(Y/n), that's all I ask of yo-"

BANG!

Klaus screamed from his place in the vents. "FIVE!"

It was almost as if the world transitioned to slow motion for Five. He was holding his hand out for (Y/n) before he felt the sudden excruciating pain in his abdomen. His eyes felt like they were bulging out of their sockets as his pupils landed on (Y/n)'s emotionless, almost close to shocked, face.

"It wasn't your fault. It was mine, for believing every word you said." ~ Unknown

He began to fall backwards from the impact of the tiny deadly piece of metal which made his pupils notice (Y/n)'s hand holding her glock. It was pointed at him.

She shot him.

His face converted to disbelief as his whole body hit the floor. His breath hitched before he felt like he forgot how to breathe.

He tried to stand back up as soon as his back landed on the gymnasium floor but the only thing that could move without much pain was his shoulders. His mind was running all over the place as he stared up at the ceiling looking like he was having an episode.

His body twitched and he pressed his hands and forearms on his lower stomach. He heavily winced in unbelievable pain. He felt warm vital liquids gushing from his abdomen and through his dress shirt and vest. He didn't know where exactly the wound was but his neck didn't allow itself to move so he was just hopelessly grasping around his waist, hoping to stop the bleeding somehow.

She shot him.

She actually bloody shot him.

It was almost as if everything hit him at once when he hit the ground.

This whole time he blindly trusted (Y/n) despite all the warnings almost everyone gave him. Even when he found out about her occupation himself he still confided in her. He has always been smarter than everyone around him, he was always right and everyone around him didn't have the capacity to understand what he understood.

But he felt like the biggest idiot on the planet right now.

If he just listened to literally anyone, Luther, the Handler, Diego, even (Y/n) herself, he wouldn't be where he is right now. With a knife in the back and a heart slowly cracking before it shattered into a thousand shards of glass.

"I trusted you, but now your words mean nothing because your actions spoke the truth." ~ Drake

Klaus jumped out of the open vent and ran over to Five, sliding across the floor once he was about to pass him. Klaus checked his pulse and once he knew he was still alive and breathing, he began to shake Five to make sure he stayed awake. "Hang in there Five!"

Five still stared at the ceiling as Klaus desperately fumbled for a way to stop the bleeding, but to no avail. The large red puddle beneath him continued to grow alarmingly fast. Klaus sucked in air, his body trembling uncontrollably with fear for his brother's life.

Five's mind went blank as he took everything in, confirming to himself that this is indeed real life and not some cruel nightmare.

Then a thought appeared.

Why was it suddenly cold?

He knew this was a bad sign. His mind knew it wasn't cold in the room, but his body felt compelled to convince him to shiver regardless.

Without saying anything or reacting in any way, (Y/n) walked around Klaus and Five and made her way to the exit of the gymnasium. With an emotionless numb face of stone, she swung both doors open and left.

Without looking back.

Lana smirked at the last place she saw (Y/n) but the side smile grew as she looked back at the two males on the ground. Klaus locked eyes with her and that's when she lifted her skirt to pull out a sparkling machete from its carrier. She twirled it in her slender fingers before stalking toward them.

Klaus knew this wouldn't end well for both of them if they stayed in their spot for more a couple seconds so he shook Five more violently, impatiently and desperately. "Come on Five! We gotta get out of here! Teleport us out of here."

Five yearned to reply, but his mouth was bone dry. He was cold and quaking and exhausted. He felt a palpitation in his chest and took a sharp inhale. "She shot me." He managed to mutter out but it sounded like he was saying it to no one. "She actually really shot me."

"Well blondie is gonna do something a lot of worse if we don't get out of here, stat!" Five still remained frozen in a state of utter shock but Klaus still roughly shook him. "Five! We have to go! Please get us out of here we're out of time!" Lana got closer quicker than Klaus was praying for.

"FIVE SNAP OUT OF IT AND PLEASE GET US OUT OF HERE!"

Lana now stood right before the two with a malicious and sadistic look on her smooth, chiseled model face. "Walk with giants," She raised her big stiletto high heel, about to stomp on Five's face "you're gonna get stepped on." With full force, she launched her foot down.

Only for it to stomp on nothing but the ground.

At the last second, Five snapped back to reality and mustered enough of his remaining strength of his entire body to spacial jump them out of there. He underestimated his rushed power as they surprisingly landed on the grass light up by the moonlight about a couple meters away from the building.

Lana stared at the ground where the thing that annoyed her the most once was and growled viciously. She swung her hand up and flung the machete to the ground, its sharp edge digging into the floor making it stand. "THAT'S IT! THE NEXT SUPERHERO I SEE CRAWL INTO MY VISION IS GETTING A FULL!! LANA!! SMACKDOWN!!!"

~

Five used his last spacial jump to jump him and Klaus the closest he could to their home. He only had enough in him to get them about 6 blocks away from the mansion which Klaus sprinted through with a dying man child on his back.

Once they reached home base, Klaus bursted the door open yelling for everyone or anyone to come help. When he got no response he turned to Ben who was next him. "Where the hell is everyone?" He only got a shrug as a response. Almost on cue, Grace's shoes were heard clinking against the floor and she appeared around the corner with a worried expression. "Oh my goodness, what happened now?"

"A fucked up version of Romeo and Juliet."

"You knew exactly what you were doing. That's what hurts the most." ~ Unknown
