Everything is Only for You (Complete)

Chapter 14

Sidharth had believed Sana to be a childish, stubborn girl. With the time he had spent with her during the attack, he had developed a soft corner for her. But it was quite shocking for him when he was approached for marriage. He can't see himself getting married to someone like Sana, the actress. He is a simple man and she is a spoilt rich girl. He had tried to clear things that night by saying that he would never marry her. But he knew she will never give up so easily. The way she had left with a warning was enough to make him prepared for even bigger dramas in future.

Sid was ready to handle few more tantrums of Sana. But he was never prepared for something else. Few days after he had met Sana that night, Sid arrives to the Hotel for his shift. As he enters the Restaurant, he is immediately called in by the General Manager. He asks him to sit and says," I am really sorry but you can't work in the restaurant anymore." Sid can't believe his ears, he just looks at the manager's face. He says," But Sir, you had just promoted me and hiked my salary. Why am I being fired?" The Manager replies," No, you are not fired. You are moved to housekeeping. You will work under Manager Joshi. You report him now."

Sid had no issues to work anywhere unless he gets his salary. On the way, he meets Amit and Sid tells him everything. Amit says," Joshi is dangerous. Seriously hard task master and the way he insults. I don't understand why are you sent there?It is a sort of demotion from Restaurant Manager to Housekeeping Supervisor. Are you getting same payment or not?" Sid knows something is not right. But he has nothing to do now.

Joshi starts his day with curses for everyone working under him. For guests and higher officials, he is the most decent man. As Sid meets him, he is welcomed by few of such sweet sounding curse words. Although he has the experience of housekeeping and has the role of Supervisor, Joshi makes him work like housekeeper. He makes him prepare bed, clean toilets and do things that attendants must do. He says,"You are new here. We have strict rules with chance for zero error. You need to do it yourself as a part of your training. This will help you supervise better."

At the end of the day, Sid still looks fresh and a smile still remains on his face. He reaches home and goes into his room. He is actually tired and after getting fresh, he falls on the bed to sleep. After few minutes, his phone starts to vibrate, waking him up. It's a private number. He picks it up and hears a laugh from the other side. He says,"Kon?" The voice says," Acha laga aaj bedsheet change karke, toilets clean karke?" Sid replies," Oh it's you Mam. So you did the transfer." Sana replies from other side," Mere saath hote toh aaj General Manager hote. I can buy you a separate hotel for you to run. But see where you are now." Sid smile and says,"I was always there where I belonged. I never had wishes to fly high so I never have the fear of falling down. I didn't do anything today that is low for me. You will never understand that no job is low." Sana stays silent for some time and then she says,"Yeh toh bas shuruwat hai..just wait and watch Siddy boy."

For the next few days, Sid works as an attendant housekeeper. He is repeatedly insulted by Joshi for minor mistakes. One day, he is called in by the General Manager and in the room Joshi is present too. The Manager asks," Sidharth you have earned our respect with your heroic acts during the attack. That's why I kept neglecting your minor mistakes. But I don't know how I will avoid this." Sid looks confused and asks," What mistake are you talking about? I have been giving my best in every role you have assigned to me. You have appreciated my work, then where is coming from sir?" Joshi says,"You were worthless under me. I am getting complains from guests regarding cleanliness because of you. One guest has complained about missing gold bracelet. I believe it is with you as you were the one inside that room."

Sid by now has been perfectly clear where this was going. He looks at the General Manager and says," Sir, you wanted to fire me, you could have done it by now. I am just an employee working under you. There was no need to take so much effort of transferring me and making me work under him(pointing to Joshi)." Joshi tries to say,"Hey you..mind" Sid interrupts him,"With all due respect, I am not finished yet. (Looking at General Manager) I know sir, why you are doing this but please sir don't stoop that low. You know I haven't stolen anything. Not caring for my life I have done my duty here sir. Atleast don't insult me with such blames sir. " The Manager lowers his head and says,"I am sorry Sidharth. Clear your account and go please." Joshi says," But we need to check his.." The Manager stops him," Enough Joshi. Let him go."

Sid comes out of the room, followed by Joshi. Joshi says," Naukri toh gayi, ab kya karega socha hai? Go to her, she will make you sleep on the bed of money." Sid turns to him and says," Tu jiski naukri karta hai, usse boldena, Sidharth will prefer to work as a labourer rather sit and eat on somebody else's money" Joshi laughs and says,"Akad abhi bhi hai tere mein? Kab tak?" Sid smiles and says," We middle class people have only one thing, self respect. You won't know, tu ne toh kab se beech khai hai."

Sid returns home early and goes to his room. His mother comes inside, sitting beside him asks," Bache aaj itni jaldi? Tabyat toh thik hai?" Sid puts his head on her lap and says,"Maa, aaj naukri chali gayi.." Sumitraji asks,"But you were promoted, why did they fire you?" Sid replies," I don't know..I have to find something fast. Otherwise.." Sumitraji running her hand through his hair says," Tu itna maat soch, sab acha hoga. Kuch din aram kar, phir dhundna naukri."

Sid starts looking for job in different hotels and resorts. He finally gets a job at a Hotel as Spa Manager. The second day at the job, he is called in by the General Manager. In the room, he finds a girl sitting. Looking at him, she starts panicking and says," Yes, he is the one. He had tried to touch me as I was going into the room for spa. Call police now. Arrest him."

Sid is taken to the police station even after several protests from his side. He tries to explain that he has not even seen her before. But all his words fall into deaf ears. He is put into custody room after being man handled and insulted by the police for an hour. He spends the night in the custody and left the morning as no FIR is lodged against him.

Sid comes home to see disgust and shock in the eyes of his neighbours. They talk in whispers but he knows it's all related to him. Shini closes the door on the faces of the neighbours as Sid enters the house. His mother hugs her and starts crying. He is tired of the allegations and insults that he had faced the previous day. He doesn't say anything to his mother and goes into his room. He lies down and closing his eyes he thinks how will he handle things now. No hotel will now give him a job. He has to pay instalments and college fees. He has no idea how things will look up now.

He has fallen asleep thinking. And a phone call wakes him up. He picks up without even looking and he hears a male voice from the other side. He says," Life agar aur kharap nahi karni hai toh offer accept karle. Fall on her feet and she will make things ok." Sid wakes up with a jolt. He says,"Hey, tu jo koi bhi hai, just tell your madam, go to hell. I will die before falling on anybody's feet." Bunty laughs and hangs up the phone. He says," Saale mein attitude bhari padi hai..hmm.. Thik hai Sidharth ji, you need more, then be ready for it..Afterall Behna ke liye kuch bhi.."
