Kid stepped away from his door and walked further down the hallway to look around. She had been walking for maybe five minutes before knowing for absolute certainty that she was lost. Eventually she found a hall-bot, who managed to pull out a mini map for Kid to look at. She was in the bedroom wards. After thinking for a moment, she decided to head for the common room, which was somewhere in the centre of the base.

She guessed which direction to go in, the hallways were decorated with some of the oddest things. There were suits of armour, cabinets full of glassware, simple tables with huge flower vases; she saw paintings on the walls of everything from people to a Grandfather clock. The walls were a friendlier, more casual colour; slowly the whole base became similar to a mansion.

It was looking more and more like a mansion once more, like the one she had been in with Madame Riley. The memory of that woman sent shivers down Kid's spine. She roamed the hallways; the base was a fancy looking place. Kid eventually made it to the common room. She was amazed by how many windows the base had and as big as they were.

The common room was a large room; it seemed to be a mixture between a lounge, TV and game room. It was a large room, huge! And one of the walls had a large TV mounted into it and an entertainment system underneath it, containing a DVD player and DVD's to go with it, surrounding it were three cream coloured lounges and a glass coffee table before them. Under all of the furniture was a dirty blond coloured rug to match the lounges.

On the opposite wall, there was some sort of bar, similar to a liquor bar. The counter was a dull blue colour, and the cabinet behind it had several drinking glasses and liquor friends ranging from limes to salt. One wall was devoted to a clear window, showing off the front of the whole property the base seemed to be on, including the pathway to get up here.

In the centre of the room there was a dining table set, one much smaller than the one in the dining room hall, but a dining set. The whole room was quirky and lived in, there were some bean bags, a pool table, gaming consoles, and people dwelled within it.

On the ceiling there were several paper lanterns of various colours giving off their own lights giving the room a majestic feel.

Kid looked to the inhabitants; Kim was before the window mediating while Cameron and Goldie were playing a game of chess at the table. Goldie seemed more intense in the game then Cameron, who's eyes remained on the book he held in his hand, not even watching Goldie's move.

Kid walked over to the table and rested her chin on the table to watch them play. With every move Goldie seemed so unsure and trembled every time he held a piece. His face was a façade of intense concentration to a point Kid thought she'd have to pick up his eyes balls when they fall out of his head.

Cameron turned a page of his book, "do you wish to gain some advice on the game, Goldie?"

"Shut up, Cameron, I'll get this," Goldie hissed as he put his piece down and went to move a different one. Kid eventually lost interest as she walked over to Kim; she was facing the window, her eyes closed and her legs crossed as she took in deep, calming breaths.

Kid was mainly amazed by how she was doing that. She crawled underneath Kim to check a box or some string or something. But she managed to get right under her without running into anything. She stood up and stared at Kim trying to see how she was doing this.

"It's just something my people can do," Kim informed opening her eyes, "don't worry, it's not magic or anything. My type just has the ability to hover and fly." She uncrossed her legs and stood on the ground, "but I do mediate."

Kid was still impressed as she sat down and attempted to mimic how she was sitting. Kim smirked as she crossed her legs and floated in mid-air. "I'm a half-blood, human and fairy," Kim explained, "my brother Goldie over there was born completely human. I met him when Jason brought him to the base when he was eight."
