Chapter 7

The Whispers and the Bees 

"So when's the first competition?" I asked Cedric as we walk out Hufflepuff's common room

          "A week from now I guess" he answered, "We have so many interviews this week so I'll probably won't be around many times" he continued

"Well I have potions today, I must not be late or Snape will really kill me" I said and gave him a smile before waving and entering the potion's classroom

"Godfrey!" Lily called me from across the room, I went to her and sat beside her for she's my partner in potions

"Are you alright? You look so pale" she said when I sat down beside her

"I didn't get enough sleep last night, I had to finish my assignments" I said as I rub my eyes for I was so sleepy

"We are brewing the Shrinking Potion," Snape entered the classroom, "Godfrey" he called me

"Yes Professor?" I asked and stood up

"What's in the Shrinking Potion?" he asked me

'Minced daisy roots, Peeled Shrivelfig, Sliced caterpillars, One rat spleen, A dash of leech juice, A splash of cowbane and Wormwood'

A voice whispered to me, "Uh... Minced daisy roots, Peeled Shrivelfig, Sliced caterpillars, one rat spleen, a dash of leech juice, a splash of cowbane and Wormwood" I answered

"Right, and who invented this potion?" he asked again, really wanting to embarrassed me

'Zygmunt Budge'

I heard the voice again, "Zygmunt Budge" I answered

"Correct, Godfrey" he said, disappointed that he didn't embarrassed me

"Bloody Hell Agape, I don't even know that things but you know?" Lily said obviously surprised

"I never knew these things, I just heard a voice" I said

"Uhuh, this is bad" she said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"No, Godfrey. Even in the wizarding world, hearing voices isn't a good sign." She said and we both focused in Snape's lecture

"We will be brewing a Shrinking potion today, but we will not try it to ourselves for if brewed wrong it will be..." he stopped and looked at me

"...A poison" I continued what Snape was saying

"Exactly, now like what Ms. Godfrey answered, the ingredients are Minced daisy roots, Peeled Shrivelfig, Sliced caterpillars, one rat spleen, a dash of leech juice, a splash of cowbane and Wormwood, which are provided in your table, you will work by two" he said and let us brew our potions

"You can put the ingredients in and I'll brew it" Lily offered and I just gave her a nod

           "Minced daisy roots" I said and added it in the cauldron, "Peeled Shrivelfig," I added it in and sliced the caterpillars which was so disgusting and added it in, "One rat spleen" I wanted to barf and so was Lily when she saw the Rat's spleen, "A dash of leech juice, a splash of cowbane" I added those in, "and...." I gulped as I added the last ingredients "Wormwood", she mixed it with the wooden ladle

          After 90 minutes of brewing it's finally done, "We will test what you brew in the feather beside your desk" Snape said

"Where's the Feather?" I asked for there was no feathers beside our desks, he waved his wand and muttered a curse and there appeared feathers beside our desks.
