The Painless Murder of Caxton

"Who do you think killed Ms. Caxton?" A reporter asked Dumbledore

"The investigation is still on going so I can't answers any of your questions" He answered as I just stood there, my mind was floating, still in shock of the truth while Linda is crying beside me in the ground

"Where is she? TELL ME IT ISN'T HER!" Trisha said when she found us while holding both of my shoulders and shaking me, "TELL ME!" Her voice broke and tears ran down her face, she was very close to Poppy, they treated each other like siblings.

"It still haven't sink in" I said as I looked at her blankly, my mind was still floating and the truth hasn't sink in

She fell to the ground crying while holding tight unto my robe, she hugged Linda who was also crying on the floor, "Godfrey" I turned my head and looked at Dumbledore

"Who did this to her?" I asked him with teary eyes as the truth slowly sinks in

"Like I said Godfrey, we're still hosting an investigation" Professor Dumbledore answered.

"Mr. and Mrs. Caxton..." Dumbledore said, my gaze went from him into the two people walking towards us

"Auntie, Uncle" Trisha ran and hugged them both

"Trisha... is...is it true?" Mrs. Caxton asked her with a lost expression marked in her face. Trisha nodded and tears ran down in both of their faces. I hugged Linda and cried as I reminisce all of our happy memories with her

We three got back our dorm for the classes today was all suspended, we all looked at Poppy's bed. "She's gone" I said as it finally sink in, I fell to the ground as tears ran down my eyes to my cheeks. Trisha hugged me and caressed my back as I cried in her arms, "She's gone...." I said in between my sobs

Dumbledore called out a meeting in the Great Hall the next day, it was also Poppy's memorial ceremony, and we three left our dorms with swollen eyes from crying all night.

"Yesterday was a very sad day for us, a student from Hufflepuff, Ms. Poppy Caxton was murdered by an unknown murderer, she was a great and intelligent kid and student and while we still haven't caught the murderer, all classes will be suspended." Dumbledore announced and the great hall was filled with whispers, "But, for the Triwizard Tournament, we will not suspend it" He announced, I glanced at Cedric who was not as far from where I was sitting, our eyes met and he just gave me a little smile.

"Poppy was like the mom I never had, she always ensure that we are eating well and has plenty of sleep..." I said as I stood there in front, giving my speech, "I will miss her truly..." I stopped as tears started to make my vision blurry, "She's a great person, she didn't deserve this" I continued, "I remember when I was sick and had nightmares about my past, she was the one to take care of me," I stopped as I wiped my tears, "She stayed by my side until I got better, she fed us when we oversleep, she scolds us when we do something wrong but hugs us after..." I said, I looked down to hide the tears streaming down my cheeks, "She will be remembered" I finished my speech and sat back down

"Py was more than a friend to me" Trisha started her speech, "She was the sister I never had, she was a mom to us and most importantly... she was someone I look up to" she said and broke down to tears, "Sorry..." she said in between her sobs, "She helped me get through my depression and she cheered me up when I was in my lowest, she is the best of the best and like what Agape said, she didn't deserved this" she said as she finished her speech, she rushed to us and we gave her a tight hug
