Do cheaters deserve a second chance?

My girlfriend cheated with her bestfriend.

I saw it with my own two eyes.

She asked for forgiveness.

I needed time to think.

She gave me space.

And now, I'm infront of her.

"How have you been?" She asked "I don't know" I said "Did you forgive me?" She asked and I nodded.

"But that doesn't mean that I forgot about what happened" I said and looked down.

"Why did you cheat?" I asked "It's a mistake" She said.

"I'm asking for a reason" I said "I don't know why" She said "You just did it?" I asked.

"I'm sorry" She apologized "I already forgave you" I said "Does that mean I get a second chance?" She asked.

Does she really deserve it?

"Let me prove myself to you" She said "I won't do it again, I promise" She said.

That's what every cheaters say.

But do they really change?

"Do you think you deserve a second chance?" I asked.

"You should be the one thinking about that" She said "But if I were to ask you, do you?" I asked.

"Yes" She said "I promise that I won't do it again" She swore.

"And if you do?" I asked "I'll stay away from you" She said and I sighed.

"Fine" I said "I'll give you another chance" I said and she smiled.

She hugged me "I promise not to do it again" She said and I nodded.

"Promise?" I asked and she nodded.

"I won't waste this second chance" She said and kissed me.

I pulled away "Not too fast" I said and giggled.

"Will you be mine again?" She asked "Hmm" I pretended to think and she pouted

"Of course" I said and hugged her tightly.
