Chapter 3: 103rd Cadet Corps

???: My name is Keith Shadis......

He gave a full speech on how we are nothing but titan food, I didn't really focus, mainly because I felt bored. When we had to introduce ourselves, I woke up from my daydream.

Shadis: What is with your face cadet!?

Y/N: Beg your pardon sir?

Shadis: You are going to be begging everyone pardon when I put you as the farmland laborer, what are you called asshole!?

Y/N: *give the most pumped up salute* Y/N Jaeger! Shiganshina district, Wall Maria!

Everyone either gasped or looked at me, even Shadis looked surprised, but I think it is mostly by my name, but which one.

Shadis: Tell me! Have you seen a female titan?

Y/N: No sir, all those I saw had a more masculine structure, sir!

Shadis: Too bad! Maybe you didn't look hard enough! *proceeds to punch Y/N*

I easily dodged it, he tried to punch me again and did a 360 degrees turn and our backs were facing each other. When I did, I saw a girl no taller than 5 foot 4 inches, in front of me, she had green eyes and redheaded, she gave me a smile. I felt another movement from Shadis and again doing another 360 turn, I was back at my original position. He got confused and again, he tried to punch, I dodge right, kicked his foot toppling him. He stood up dusted himself and said

Shadis: How tall are you?

Y/N: 180 Centimeters sir! (5 foot 11 inches) and still growing.

Shadis: Well don't grow too tall or I will mistake you for a titan cadet!

Y/N: Yes sir!

Shadis: At ease! About..... Face!

A month later

It the time for the ODM test, it is to know if we are able to balance ourselves on the ropes. While waiting for my turn, I was talking to my friends I made in the camp, Alexander Victor, Elias Michael, Jason Brozka, Mason Rohm and the girl from before, Mary Sergeyevich. We become best friend during our physical training and survival in the woods for two days. Elias being the farm boy, he understood the terrain. Victor being the hunter, he knows how to hunt, especially in dark areas. Jason Brozka, he is a rich kid from Orvud district in Wall Sina, but he is humble and the best in hand to hand combat, but no one topped me. Mason Rohm, he is an orphan, striving for the military police just to live in luxury. Finally, Mary, she was my first friend in this training camp, she was from the underground, so she is very..... interesting.

Shadis: Daniel, Seamus, Lennon and Y/N, front and cen- argh! Just come here!

We did as we were told. Not going to lie, I was very nervous, when they lift me up, I can feel something was wrong with my gear, but I think I was paranoid. I did had trouble trying to stay balanced, but I did for at least 20 seconds before spinning forward, but I was able to protect my head quickly.

Shadis: What is your major malfunction Jaeger!, do you want to be a laborer?

Y/N: No sir!

Shadis: AGAIN!

I did it again, and was able to hold for 30 seconds before spinning backwards, but this time, I hit my head.

Shadis: Jaeger! come here.

The unlatched me, I looked behind to see the rest of my fellow cadets balancing without problem. Shadis grabbed me and proceed to check my gear....... IT WAS BROKEN!!!
