We were sitting in the bar just, Reiner, Mikasa and I. Reiner bought a ginger ale, because he wanted to puke. Mikasa bought a juice, while I of course bought a cup of water because I had enough alcohol for the week.

Y/N: Reiner, you knew Shadow was a defector, even before revealing himself?

Reiner: No, he had his face covered, I know it was him after joining you guys.

Y/N: So you were planning in defecting from the start?

Reiner: No, I just wanted to save Ymir, she did nothing wrong but survive the walls.

Y/N: Did she say anything that makes you want to save her?

Reiner: She said the rivalry we had was fun, in the end we both knew we won't get what we wanted.

Mikasa: Which was to get Historia's hand in marriage?

Reiner: *smiles* Yeah.... In a way, we bonded over that.

Y/N: Oh.... You.... you fell in love with Ymir instead?

Reiner: Yes, I wanted to save her.

Flashback, Reiner pov

Porco: So, you inject this in me and I eat the freckled bitch?

Zeke: Yes, remember when you turn, you will forget a lot of things, so this is an advance apology if we ever knock you out.

Porco: Alright.

I walked away from them and head outside for a fresh air.

Pieck: Reiner?

Reiner: Miss Pieck.

Pieck: Cheer up, Bertholdt may still be alive *pats Reiner's back*

Reiner: What happened?

Shadow: *walks in* Jaeger, the chief is waiting.

Zeke: Right, will you be escorting us?

Pieck: He is cold sometimes.

Zeke: Well, you guys are not invited but if you want you can come along.

Reiner: I'll stay here.

Porco: *scoffs* Fucking Reiner... *walks away with the rest of the rest of the warriors* 

After they left, and out of sight, I tried to sneak in the dungeon. Something fishy was going on because, I can barely see any guards or security. I entered to the room where the warrior candidate will come to take place of their predecessor. I climbed to the top to see Ymir, already giving up

Reiner: Why aren't you struggling?

Ymir: What for? I have nowhere to go, given up on life and no one to rescue me.

Reiner: I-

???: Let me see your hands *points gun at Reiner*

Reiner: What the- *saw a man dressed in all black and his face is covered except for his eyes.

???: I am going to take her and leave this dungeon, and you cannot stop me.

Reiner: You should have shot me instead, my consciousness is in my spinal cord, I will turn into a titan no matter what.
