Almost halfway through the season and I've only been able to get 4 chapters out of it so far omg. I apologise, I honestly don't know why. I think most of the important stuff happens in the second half anyway, but we'll see.

I'll still write the epilogue I spoke about writing anyway to make up for the shorter part

We didn't waste any time, all of us heading out of the McCall house and heading to the Sheriff Station. Scott, Lydia, Liam and the girl took Lydia's car while Isaac, Malia and I went in my car since Isacc had driven it here.

As we walked into the Sheriff Station, I tied a knot in the bottom of the shirt I was wearing to look so baggy. Since my shirt - one of the ones I actually liked, mind you - now had a hole in it and was covered in scarlet blood, Isaac had been kind enough to lend me one of his shirts. However, since he was almost twice my size it didn't exactly sit right on me. Either way, it was better than my ruined shirt.

"What's wrong now?" the Sheriff sighed as we all walked into his office with Parrish leading the way, going to stand by his boss.

"Those two kids you've got in lockup - Sheriff, you need to let them out," Scott told the man.

Sheriff Stilinski gave him a perplexed look, "And why would I do that, Scott?"

"Because they're in danger,"

"They're in a police station. That's one of the safest places they could be," the Sheriff countered. "I'm not letting them out. We've got two bodies covered in slash marks. They confessed to killing two people."

"Hunters," Scott corrected.

"People, Scott," the Sheriff said right back. "Self-defense or not, they're still here, the other guys are dead. And there's a process I have to follow."

Scott wasn't about to give up though, persistent as ever.
"Yeah, but you know what's happening around here. It's not safe for them."

"Again, this may actually be the safest place for them in Beacon Hills," the Sheriff reminded Scott once more. "At least I can protect them here."

We all shared a look, knowing something that the Sheriff didn't about what was going on under his own roof.
"No disrespect, Noah, but given the circumstances, we could probably protect them a bit better," I said carefully. "I think Stiles would agree."

"Especially since one of your Deputies is working for Gerard," Malia tacked on, not bothering to ease the Sheriff into the shocking reveal.

The Sheriff thought for less than a second before shaking his head at the were coyote, "I'm not buying that."

"Why not?" I asked. "You've met Gerard. He has a way of manipulating people."

"I don't care," he replied, shaking his head again. "I know these Deputies like the back of my hand. I know their families, their kids, their brothers and sisters. I know who they are and I trust them."
