We spend a few extra days in Canada before heading back to Chicago. Once we get back school will be starting and I'll be looking to get deep into training again. So my parents have the grand kids for the night allowing Emilia and I to have some free time. This relationship isn't like any of my other ones, I found I had too much time for them. But with Emilia we live together but we also have a almost six year old and a almost preteen with us. One on one time is rare. So we make the most of this opportunity and do a date night.

Emmy and I get dressed up in black and white like some high end event. We have a beautiful dinner at one of my favorite restaurants and go for a walk. Grandpa George always said the best thing in life is going on walk and honestly, I think he's into something. Our feet hit the pavement as we get to down town. I hear music coming from a shop and I smile. I grab Emmy's hand as I pull her into my chest.

"What's going on" she giggles and I make us sway. We rock back and fourth to the best of the song like no one was around.

"We're dancing" I tell her.

"That's what this is" she smiles.

As we dance in the street she has this smile on her face. This one was new. She had her smile when she thought about me or teaching. Her smile she had at the games or when she does something she knows means a lot. But this smile was effortless and flawless. Like she was actually in this moment enjoying it. Not trying to save the world and not overthinking everything. She was just happy, and it made my heart skip a beat. Her hair flowing down her back and those beautiful eyes staring me down. I couldn't think of anything but this moment, of anyone but her.

She suddenly presses her lips on mine making my legs grow weaker. Her hands cupping my face as she holds me close. My fingers tangle into her dress as I dip her backwards. I forget that we were in public, I forget where we are entriely. All I can think about was they way I felt when her lips were on mine.

We eventually break apart and we go back to dancing. I pull her into me so the space between us was gone. Her body moves perfectly with mine as we dance in the streets.

"I've never danced like this" she says into my ear softly.

I spin her around on my finger before she falls back into my embrace. She smiles up at me and I just knew she was everything I ever wanted and more.
