(Shuji's P.O.V.)

-May 3, 1992-

Mom giggled after she told me about her giving me a little sister. I jumped up and down after hearing that news, "I'm gonna be a big brother!" I exclaimed. "Yes, you are," dad chuckled as he pats my head and ruffles my hair. I was happy and excited. I never expected to be an older brother, but now, I am.

I was beyond contented that time, thinking of all the things I could do with her. We would be playing soccer together, playing hide 'n seek in the playground, pretending to be cops and burglars, riding a bike down the road, or even making a sandcastle on the beach together.

I had tons of ideas more than that. Though I wanted a little brother, I guess a sister would be good too. Two months has passed, and I finally got to see her. By the time mom called my name to come downstairs, I immediately stopped what I was doing and ran downstairs. 'She's finally here! I wonder what she looks like? Does she look like me? Do we have the same hair? Is she small? I wanna try carrying her.' Does were the thoughts that kept popping out of my little head before I get to see her.

I stopped in my tracks and came face-to-face with the baby in mom's arms. She was like an angel. Blue eyes, black hair, and the same skin tone as mine. "Her name is Shiori. Hanma Shiori, say hello to your little sister, Shuji." Mom smiled as she sat down on the couch so I could see the baby up close. She was adorable, really adorable.

Chubby cheeks, half-lidded eyes, and cute baby hair. "Hello little sister, my name is Hanma Shuji! Your big brother!" I touched her adorable baby fingers slowly, making sure I won't hurt her. They were soft and smooth, just like cotton candy.

I was happy. I promised myself that I would take good care of her and protect her always. Then, when was still three years old, she started talking her first words. "O..wi..-chan..." She said softly. "Mom! Did you hear that?! She said Onii-chan!" I exclaimed. "Really?! Shiori, say it to mommy again." Mom said excitedly as she raised Shiori from her crib and carried her in her arms. "O-O...wi-chan..." Shiori was struggling with how to say it properly. Her brows even furrowed, it's cute. "My little daughter finally says her first word!" Mom smiled as she twirl while carrying Shiori in her arms.

"Un!" Shiori reached out her hand to me after mom stopped twirling. "Un!" she said again, I held her hand and rubbed it with my thumb. "Yes, Shiori?" I smiled, I felt nothing but joy inside me. I was happy that the first word she would ever say was me. I will treasure it forever.
