♡ you've been planning for your boyfriend's big day since the beginning on september and as october sixteen approached, you couldn't help but be so excited, yet so nervous. you just wanted everything to be perfect, the way he is

♡ you spared no expense, only arranging the best of the best for him

♡ he was starting to get suspecious of the phone calls you took at the oddest hours of the night. little did he know, you're on a call with nintendo. at first, you emailed them, asking if their newest playstation model was done and was just being kept secret until the perfect date to announce it comes

♡ you didn't actually expect them to reply, but they did. saying that yes, it was already ready and polished. they're simply waiting for the right time

♡ so you inquired them about how much it would take to get your hands on them super early. what it took was a large amount of money, and a contract which stated that you were going to keep it secret until they themselves released it. that was an easy decision. you could keep a secret, and so could kenny

♡ before ironing all the details though, you asked them if there were already games available for it because what would kenny do with the newest playstation model, if it didn't have games he could play in it

♡ your mood dropped when they said that there wasn't much, but immediately went up again when they said that one of those few are call of duty, street fighter, and final fantasy

♡ those were all games he loved and played a lot - he also mentioned that he planned to play final fantasy again earlier that week - so you decided to take it

♡ a few phone calls, emails, contracts, paperwork, and law talk later, you had the newest playstation model in your hands

♡ hiding it was easy enough. kenny usually wore the same basketball shorts, hoodie, and tank top so you're able to stuff it in the back of the closet without much trouble

♡ you figured that since that gift was so expensive, it would be okay if you just added one more

♡ when you were backstage during dynamite, you snuck out of the elite's locker room, and into tony khan's office

♡ you managed to pull some strings and get kenny a - much needed - five days off, although that didn't include his wrestler duties on dynamite nor rampage. it was still better than nothing

♡ you usually hated it anytime kenny was away, but this time, you were a tiny bit thankful for it since the day before his birthday, he had a five hour meeting. you took that time to get out of the house, and into the grocery store to buy ingredients for all the food you planned to cook for him on the special day

♡ not to mention you were able to wrap his present

♡ the pantry and refrigerator was stocked to the brim, and you were glad that when he came home, it was like he didn't even realize. that or he didn't make a big deal out of it. you just went to the grocery store as you do, no biggie

♡ you woke up very early on his birthday to get his birthday breakfast ready. you wanted to serve him breakfast in bed. it's what he deserves

♡ you made blueberry muffins, pancakes, bacon with garlic rice (i have no idea if this is a thing in america, but if it's not, i feel bad for you. it's the best), and hashbrowns. for drinks, he had a healthy, low-sugar mango smoothie. he was gonna love it

♡ before he dug into that though, he had to wake up first of course so when you knew he's had a generous amount of sleep - that being when it's already nine thirty in the morning - you woke him up in his favorite way

♡ truth be told, it's your favorite too

♡ when you were done and he was very much awake, you emerged from under the blankets that covered him from the waist down with a smile on your face

♡ "good morning, birthday boy,"

♡ "good morning indeed," he smirk he wore implied that you guys weren't done just yet

♡ he loved every second of it, but he also enjoyed just holding you in his big, warm arms after, snuggling into you

♡ you thought it was the cutest thing ever, but you remembered that there was food downstairs which you shouldn't keep waiting unless you wanted it to taste bad when you finally ate it

♡ "ken?"

♡ "mmm?"

♡ "i made food earlier. it's downstairs right now,"

♡ he let out a grumble at that, muttering something about how he wanted to have a lazy day with you and how he was the birthday boy, after all

♡ you giggled at him, unwrapping his arms around you, much to his dismay

♡ "babyyyy"

♡ "you gotta eat breakfast, kenny. it's the most important meal of the day,"

♡ he groaned when he opened his eyes, seeing you stood up completely naked

♡ "i already ate something better and a lot more delicious than breakfast," he ran his tongue over his bottom lip

♡ "think i could go for seconds though"

♡ you winked at him "i'll bring breakfast to your room. you can get seconds later. we have all day,"

♡ well he couldn't say he hated breakfast. he thought it was wonderful. especially how you basically just fed each other while watching anime

♡ you told him that he didn't have to do downstairs with you when you cleaned the dishes, but he insisted

♡ he just wrapped his arms around your waist, pressing his chest against your back, gently swaying from side-to-side the whole time

♡ after that, you guys took a bath together

♡ "c'mon, it'll save water"

♡ "yeah, sure that's the only reason why you wanna do that,"

♡ "i didn't say that"

♡ fully clothed, and fresh out of the shower, you both were ready to start the day

♡ you sat kenny on the floor in the bedroom while you got his present from the closet

♡ "okay, don't open it until i say so"

♡ you then got your phone and opened the camera app. you had to get his reaction on camera. you had no intentions of posting it though

♡ "alright, you can open it now,"

♡ kenny, letting out his inner child, basically tore the wrapping paper to shreds

♡ "oh my god? what the? what is this?"

♡ he was understandably confused although there was a look in his eyes that made it seem like he knew, and he just wasn't sure because how?

♡ your giggles, although music to his ears, wasn't helping either

♡ "i contacted nintendo and got you their newest playstation,"

♡ all of a sudden, he bounded over to you, tackling you into a hug and almost making you drop your phone in the process

♡ "you're perfect"

♡ you held him and patted his hair

♡ "happy birthday, kenny-"

♡ "-oh and i also got you five days off from work, except for dynamite and rampage!"

♡ he hugged you again

♡ basically, you guys just spent almost the whole day cuddling and eating and watching anime, movies, and series. whatever kenny wanted

♡ but during the evening, you guys celebrated with his friends a few blocks away

♡ overall, kenny thought it was amazing way to celebrate his special day
