Kyra's pov

I was panting and could hardly stay awake as the two approached.

"No, I didn't." The short one shook his head.

The tall guy rolled his eyes.

"Well she obviously didn't hang herself up there".

The short one got closer to me and looked at my collar.

"This is the lord's pet. See? That's his collar."

He pointed at the decorations on it.

"You're right, but I doubt the lord hung her up here without telling us. Something doesn't add up."

The tall one put a clamp on the line, stopping the blood flooding out of me.

"Give me the phone, I'll make a call to verify."

It took me more and more energy to follow their conversation.
Energy I didn't have, I was getting so cold, the call in fact took less time than it felt to me.

"Hold that bag up! Make it go back in that girl right now!"

The tall guy was obviously panicking.

"Wait, what?"

The short guy got the bag, removed the clamp and held it up.

"What is going on?"

The tall man had put the phone down and rushed over to us.

"Shit, shit, shit how much blood did she lose. She can't be like this from just that one bag!"

He unchained me and quickly put me on a stretcher.

"Keep that bag up!"

He ordered as he quickly looked in the fridge and ran through some papers.

"This doesn't add up."

He muttered.

"What doesn't add up!?"

I was hardly able to look up as I heard Lord Radu growl, he had gotten here fast...

"There are 21 bags in the fridge but there should be only 14."

The tall one was shocked as he looked at the lord.

"That means..."

"I know what that means! I wanna know who did this! NOW!"

The Lord smashed the tray cart that was standing next to him in anger.

I couldn't follow what happened next anymore as everything became dark around me.

Vasile's pov

I had rushed towards the slave basements as soon as that idiot told me my pet was hanging there on the wall almost drained of all her blood.
Heads will roll when I find out who's behind this!

There she was, barely alive on the stretcher.
She was clearly in shock due to the blood loss.
I could hear her heart was beating a lot faster but weaker than it should.
She was very pale.
Weak as she was, she still tried to look up at me.
My heart nearly broke when I saw her frightened eyes.
That moron looked at me a bit helpless when he had checked the inventory list.
They clearly had no idea who did this, but still, it happened while they were here!
Right under their fucking noses!

"I know what that means! I wanna know who did this! NOW!"

For now the tray cart felt the wrath of my anger as I smashed the thing in pieces, scaring both my employees.
