Owen's P.O.V.

The train comes to halt and people are walking in every direction in and out of the train. I get up from my seat and make my way to the door. I step out of the train and at the same moment, I hear screams.

"Owen!" my parents and Hailey shout as they run to me. I don't know how many werewolves are here in the station but I'm pretty sure they all went deaf after hearing those screams of my family.

Hailey was the first to reach me, she jumps on me while running and throws her arms around my neck. I drop my bags to catch her. I almost lost my balance; does she not know she's not a kid anymore. Following her, my mom hugs me and Hailey and then my dad does the same. And we are now a giant human ball. But I feel so happy, I'm smiling and crying at the same time. The tears flow, tears of happiness. I feel like my heart is going to burst. We start jumping following the lead of Hailey while hugging. And I saw a couple of people giving us that judging eyes, but who cares. I'm with my family. They visited me in Lunardale last month and we just talked yesterday but why does it feel like we've been separated for ages.

After a few minutes, we break from the group hug. And Hailey says, "You are finally back."

"Yes, do you know how much we missed you?" says my mom with teary eyes.

"Welcome back Owen." My dad added, he is crying too.

"I missed you guys too, a lot," I replied while looking at them.

"You are not going to leave again, right?" Hailey asked me with her puppy eyes.

"I'm not sure, but I'm here for a few months," I replied truthfully. Because I'm not sure how long will I be able to endure the things here. It depends on certain someone, if he will not misbehave, I might not leave but if he tries anything funny, I'm out of here the next moment. Of course, I did not say this to Hailey.

"Give him a break honey, he just came back." said my mom giving Hailey a weird look.

"Why? If it was not for that asshole-"

"That's enough Honey." My mom cut Hailey of.

"Well, shall we have something before we go to the packhouse?" my dad asked me. "We have enough time."

I see the clock hanging on the platform, it was 16:00. As I mentioned I have made a plan to not see that jerk first in this town. Jason does a routine check of some check posts at the borders every day between 5 to 6 p.m., so if I go between then I can just inform people working at the packhouse to inform the alpha about my returning back, and as I know that they would just ignore it because why would anyone care if someone came back. we just have to do this only because of tradition. And so the alpha of Crimson Cresent pack, Jason will not know that Owen is back for a few days until someone says him about me. It's a pretty good plan if you ask me.

"Sure, we can grab some coffee, we still have a lot of time," I replied. And we walked to the coffee shop in the station. We all talked about different things, things we already talked about but it still feels new. We entered the coffee shop. It was cozy, with dusty brown walls and a wooden floor, lit enough to see things clearly but not too much to hurt your eyes. A couple of circular tables and chairs are placed and the wall on the side of the railway platform was entirely made of glass, so you can see the passing train, scenery, and people. We made our way to the counter, a blond girl with an innocent smile, wearing a black apron on a white shirt asked us for our orders. She was young, I say she was Highschool senior or a freshman in college. I ordered a mocha, my parents ordered frappes for both of them and Hailey ordered a latte with a long list of instructions. It felt like she was talking in some code language and I could not decipher a word. Really, how does she remember all this?
