I slept pretty well but I had a bad headache when I woke up. But the cold shower helped and I'm feeling good, well good enough. I'm in my office and completing all the paperwork. The day has just started and there is a mountain of papers in front of me, you take a break for a day, and the next day you die due to overworking. I mean it is only eleven in the morning. I'm reading a document regarding a resort that we are interested to invest in, but all I want to do is see Owen. Conri is going nuts, he is dying to run to his mate since he knows that his mate is in this very town. It has become so hard to control him. I tried to focus on the work again but someone knocked on my door.

"Come in," I said with my eyes in the file I was holding.

Aiden walked in wearing a white shirt with two buttons undone on the top, tight enough to show his muscles, brown leather belt, and formal black pants. He was wearing a silver wolf face pendent and ear-ring in his left ear. the jewelry complementing his grey eyes and the clothes making his brown skin more prominent. His hair was styled side-parted and wavy.

"Alpha," He said as he stopped in front of my desk and bowed.

"I guess you'll be leaving early today. Got a date?" I asked with a smirk.

"Yes and no. I will be leaving in the afternoon and I'm not going on a date, I'm going into a housewarming part. You know I don't do that, I'm waiting for my.... Mate." He was blushing.

"I know, I know. But as a beta, you are pretty bad at hiding your emotions." I replied teasingly. His eyes were firing up.

"Hey. I told you to not tease me about that," he shouted blushing more if that is possible.

"And I told you to not do that bowing and respecting thing when we are alone," I said raising my eyebrow.

"Fine." He said rolling his eyes. "I have some important things to brief you about." He paused, I did not say anything waiting for him to continue. "The blue moon pack has asked us to protect them from a rough pack that is attacking them frequently, so far they have lost 5 members. They wish to merge in our pack." He added. His face turned serious.

"Well, the blue moon pack has been our allies for ages, we must help them. Send enough of our troops and reinforcements. And if they wish to merge, arrange a meeting after everything is taken care of." I ordered. "Anything else?" I added.

"Yes. There is ... one thing." He was hesitating.

"What is it?" I said in rhythm like when you talk with a toddler.

"Well ... um ... you see ... um ..." he was still hesitating.

"What is it Aiden?" I said with a serious tone now. He fixed his eyes on the ground.

"Um ... This pick was posted this morning by Hailey." He said as he turned his phone around so I could see the screen.

It was a photo of Owen and he looked so hot in it, I wanted to jump on the screen at the very instant I saw the photo.
