Owen's P.O.V.

"Welcome, please feel at home," Jess said with a big smile that said I'm so glad you came to my place as he opened the door for me.

I entered the house and just say the interior was as breathtaking as everything on the outside. The Livingroom was dexterously planned. It was not too empty or too cramped, it was just perfect. There was a chimney on side of the room and some chairs were placed in front of it. There were glass sliders on the wall to the lakeside. So, the entire view of the outside was visible and it looked amazing. One thing that I liked most about the house is that there were bookshelves on every wall and some worked also as partitions. And they all were filled with books. Can I move here? The house really gave the feeling of a luxurious cottage. Jess entered after me and offered me a seat on the couch.

"I guess you have a lot of questions, judging from the way you were talking in the dark woods. Feel free to ask me anything," he said with a smile.

"I don't know from where to start. It's like my mind has gone completely blank after looking at this place." I replied looking outside the glass doors.

"Take your time, we have an entire day. Do you want something to drink? Oh, I know just the thing that will help you. Wait a minute." He went into the kitchen before I could reply.

Okay Owen, think what you had to ask me? And I drifted in my thoughts thinking of all the things I needed answers from. After a while, Jess came out of the kitchen holding a tray. He offered me one of the glasses filled with purple liquid. "Thank you," I said as I took the glass. He sat on the couch next to me.

I raised the glass and sniffed the liquid, it smelled like a field of flowers. Its color was somewhere between pink and purple. I took a sip.

"Remember, when a wizard offers you a drink; never drink it." Said Jess with an emotionless face.

"What?" I was shocked, my eyes popped out. But then he started to light and I knew he was pranking me.

"Don't worry, I told you I'm not gonna harm you. But with other wizards and witches, you should be careful." He said barely able to speak between his laughs.

"Now you are just messing with me, aren't you?" I said trying to sound angry" by the what is it, it is delicious." I added.

"It's lavender iced tea. It has calming properties. It will help you relax." He replied. And I took another sip. "So, have you thought what you want me to ask?"

"Yes. Have you been living here for all this time?" I asked my first question looking into his eyes.

"Yes, I had no place to go. And this place was not that bad." He answered.

"So, you built all this?"

"Yes, when you have to live alone for five years, you can do this much. Well, assuming you are a wizard." He looked proud as he said this.

"How my pack has not found you yet?" I could not believe he was able to hide from the entire wolf pack for five years on their grounds.

"Well, you see I have placed a spell around this place, looking from outside this looks just like the dark wood, and also whenever anyone tries to enter the dark woods the alarms go on," he said pointing at a crystal ball. "Plus, they do not wander in dark woods that much. It is pretty secluded," he added. "But are these the questions you want to know answers of?" He said raising one eyebrow.

"Umm..." I was hesitant to ask him directly, wouldn't it look like I'm blaming him?

"It's fine. Ask me." He said. Wait did he read my mind?
