Marlie's POV

After dinner we all gather in the connected kitchen and living room to figure out our next move. I was sitting on the countertop in the kitchen with Tony behind me in the sunroom throwing darts. Clint was in the living room with Laura as Lila drew different pictures. She finished one and brought it over to Nat who was sitting at the table with Banner leaning on the wall behind her. Steve was just standing in the entre leaning against the wall and Fury was pouring himself a glass of tea.

"Ultron took you folks out of play to buy himself time. My contacts all say that he's building something. The amount of vibranium he made off with, I don't think it's just one thing." Fury tells us.

"What about Ultron himself?" Steve asks.

"He's easy to track. He's everywhere. The guy's multiplying faster than a Catholic rabbit. Still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans though." Fury replies.

"Is he still going after launch codes?" Tony then asks.

"Yes, he is. But he's not making any headway." Fury tells us.

"That doesn't make sense. He should have easily gotten them." I then say.

Tony nods and stops throwing his darts and turns to face us. "I cracked the Pentagon's firewall in high school on a dare." Tony says proving my point.

Clint then walks over to the sink in the kitchen and starts doing the dishes.

"Well, I contacted our friends at the Nexus about that." Fury says.

"Nexus?" Steve asks.

I turn to him. "It's the world internet hub in Oslo. Every byte of data flows through there. Fastest access on earth." I explain.

"So, what did they say?" Clint then asks.

"He's fixed on the missiles. But the codes are constantly being changed." Fury says.

"By whom?" Tony asks. And Clint throws a dart right in front of his face landing in the perfect center. Tony just gives him a look and leaves the darts to stand next to me.

"Parties unknown." Fury says.

"Do we have an ally?" Nat then asks.

"Ultron got an enemy. That's not the same thing. Still, I'd pay good folding money to know who it is." Fury says.

"I might need to visit Oslo. Find our unknown." Tony says and I nod in agreement, knowing that I was probably included in his I.

"Well, this is good times, boss, but I was kid of hoping when I saw you, you'd have more than that." Nat says with a hint of sarcasm towards Fury.

"I do." He says simply. "I have you. Back in the day, I had eyes everywhere. Ears, everywhere else. You kids had all the tech you could dream up. Here we all are, back on earth, with nothing but our wit and our will to save the world. Ultron says the Avengers are the only thing between him and his mission. And whether or not he admits it, his mission is global destruction. All this, laid in a grave. So, stand. Outwit the platinum bastard." Fury finishes.

"Steve doesn't like that kind of talk." Nat says with a sly grin, and I can't help but chuckle a little.

"You know what Romanoff?" Steve says to her amused.

Fury then sits down at the table. "So, what does he want?" he asks.

"To become better. Better than us. He keeps building bodies." Steve says back.

"Person bodies. The human form in inefficient. Biologically speaking we're outmoded. But he keeps coming back to it." Tony adds.

"When you three programmed him to protect the human race, you amazingly failed." Nat says sarcastically.
