Nat's POV

After leaving Tony's, the three of us went to find Bruce. It took some persuading but eventually he agreed to help. The problem was that this wasn't Bruce's area of expertise, it was Tony's and Marlie's, but he agreed to help.

It was honestly a shock to see Bruce again. I hadn't seen him in years. The last time I saw him he was still struggling with the Hulk. That's not the case anymore. In fact, the Hulk had changed a lot. Bruce somehow figured out a way to combine the Hulk persona with himself. Now Bruce's consciousness was combined with the Hulk's body. It was really weird to see Bruce talking through the Hulk's body while wearing normal clothes.

After he agreed to help us, we all went back to the compound and got to work. Scott was able to help set up his ugly brown van, which apparently housed the quantum tunnel in its trunk. He also helped Bruce set up the other equipment which Bruce made adjustments to. We were all set now.

"Okay, here we go. Time travel test number one. Scott, fire up the uhhh... the van thing." Bruce called over to Scott from his place at the controls.

Scott, dressed in an adjusted version of the Ant Man suit, walked over to the van and opened the back. The quantum tunnel instantly fired up and I watched as a mixture of blue, orange, and yellow light spiraled through it.

The breakers are set, and the emergency generators are on standby." Steve told us as he walked back into the large room over to us.

I walked over to Bruce and stood next to the controls with my tablet in hand. I was looking over some of the information and readings. I didn't really understand it, but Bruce had told me what to look for.

"Good. Cause if we blow the grid, I don't want to lose Tiny here in the 1950's." Bruce mumbled trying not to let Scott here but failing miserably.

"Excuse me?" Scott said sounding alarmed.

"He's kidding." I said trying to put as much humor as I could in my tone. I then turned towards Bruce and lowered my tone. "You can't say things like that!"

"Just... It was a bad joke." Bruce amended calming Scott's worries.

As Scott walked over to the van I tuned and whispered to Bruce. "You were kidding, right?"

Bruce immediately turned to me and answered in an alarmed semi-quiet tone. "I have no idea. We're talking about time travel here. Either it's all a joke, or none of it is."

I couldn't stop the slightly panicked feeling that filled my chest. This was what Tony was talking about. There may be no safe way to do this, yet we were trying anyways.

Bruce ignored my concerned expression and turned towards Scott and gave him a thumbs up. I turned as well and plastered a tense, fake smile on my face and looked towards Scott as Bruce spoke.

"We're good!" Bruce then started messing with the controls as he continued to give out instructions. "Get your helmet on, Scott. I'm gonna send you back a week, let you walk around for an hour, then bring you back in 10 seconds. Make sense?"

"Perfectly not confusing." Scott said with a wave of his hand.

He already had the helmet on and unlike in the Ant Man suit, we could see his face.

"Good luck, Scott. You got this." Steve encouraged.

Scott gave him an awed look. "You're right. I do, Captain America."

Bruce then pressed some buttons and Scott disappeared into the quantum tunnel. I couldn't help the worried feeling I got as Bruce messed with the controls.

"On the count of three. 3... 2... 1...!"

Bruce then pressed a button and a person appeared wearing the Ant Man suit, but it wasn't Scott. It was a young teenager.
