Marlie's POV

After getting acquainted we all walked out of the ship to get a better sense of our surroundings and formulate a plan. We all walked over to the Guardian's ship; we learned after the misunderstanding that the newcomers called themselves The Guardians of the Galaxy. I left Tony with Quill and headed over to Strange.

"Strange, we need to talk." I said quietly.

I led him off to the side so we wouldn't be overheard. "I need you to look into the future. You need to know what I do."

Strange nodded. "Alright, I'll be over here."

I then walked away content with his answer. There were things he needed to know before Thanos arrived. If he didn't see into the future, then we would lose. I walked over towards the others and saw everyone staring at Quill, who was holding up a small cylinder device that glowed gold.

"What the hell happened to this planet? It's eight degrees off its axis. Gravitational pull is all over the place."

I stood next to Tony, who looked over at me. "Tell me what you can about Thanos." Tony said to me.

"He's huge, strong, and very powerful. When he arrives, he will be wielding the Power, Soul, Reality, and Space Stones. He's nothing like we've ever faced before. He'll be able to create portals, morphe reality, sense the location of other stones, move large objects, and create blast more powerful than you could imagine. Each of the stone he possesses will be imbedded on the large golden gauntlet on his left hand. He has no known weaknesses."

Fear and disbelief crossed Tony's face at my description. I watched him think for a moment as he formulated a plan. He then looked directly into my eyes.

"Do we follow my plan, or do you have another?" Tony asked me.

I shook my head. "No, we need to follow you're plan and add a few details the Guardians provide."

Tony nodded then turned to the others. "Yeah, we got one advantage. He's coming to us. We'll use it. All right, I have a plan."

We then turned around to face the others. Both Peters came forward, but Mantis was jumping up and down having fun with the strange gravitational pull and Drax wasn't paying anyone attention. Tony continued while giving the others side glances.

"Or at least the beginning of one. It's pretty simple. We draw him in, pin him down, get what we need. Definitely don't wanna dance with this guy. We just need the gauntlet."

Tony then turned to Drax in frustration. "Are you yawning? In the middle of this, while I'm breaking it down. Huh? Did you hear what I said?"

"I stopped listening after you said, 'We need a plan'." Drax said sounding board.

Tony then turned back to Quill, still obviously frustrated. "Okay, Mr. Clean is on his own page."

"See, not winging it isn't really what they do." Quill explained almost sounding embarrassed.

"Uh, what exactly do they do?" Peter asked.

"Kick names, take ass." Mantis answered.

"Yeah, that's right." Drax agreed.

Tony glanced at me with a hopeless expression. I just groaned in frustration as I rubbed my face. I knew they were like this, but it would be nice if they took this seriously.

"Alright, just get over here, please. Mr. Lord can you get your folks to circle up?"

"Mr. Lord. Star-Lord is fine." Quill responded to Tony and motioned for the others to come forward.

"We gotta coalesce. Cause if all we come at him with is a plucky attitude..."

Quill interrupted Tony here. "Dude don't call us plucky. We don't know what it means. Alright, we're optimistic, yes. I like your plan. Except it sucks, so let me do the plans, and that way it might be really good."

"Tell him about the dance-off to save the universe." Drax suddenly said.

"What dance-off?" Tony asked, clearly annoyed by the turn of events.

"It's nothing." Quill added trying to deter the subject.

"Like in Footloose, the movie?" Peter asked sounding very confused.

"Exactly like Footloose. Is it still the greatest movie in history?" Quill asked excitedly.

"It never was." Peter said in disbelief.

I then turned towards Peter. "Please don't encourage this, alright." I then turned back to the group. "Listen, we need to focus here. Tony has a good plan, but it won't work unless we work together. Okay?"

"We're getting no help from Flash Gordon here." Tony suddenly added.

I turned and gave him a pointed look. "What did I just say about encouraging this." I mumbled.

Tony gave me an apologetic look, before our attention was drawn back to Quill, who had completely missed mine and Tony's interaction.

"Flash Gordon? By the way, that's a compliment. Don't forget, I'm half human. So that 50% of me that's stupid... That's 100% you."

Tony stepped forward closer to Quill. "Your math is blowing my mind." He said laying the sarcasm on think.

"Excuse me, but... Does your friend often do that?" Mantis asked drawing everyone's attention.

We all turned and saw Strange floating in the air with his legs crossed and his arms held out casually in front of him. He had the Time Stone out and green mist flowed out around him. Green rings wrapped around his arms as his head twitched in and out of focus. I knew he was doing what I asked. He was peering into the future and seeing a rapid play through of millions of possible futures, including the one I had chosen.

I turned away from Strange and looked at everyone's face. I saw the same look of shock and confusion written on all their expressions. I took a calming breath to calm myself. It was almost time. Time for me to step up and reveal some information.

"Strange, we alright?" Tony called as he walked over. I stayed back.

At Tony's words, Strange seemed to be knocked out of it. The stone stopped glowing and Strange dropped to the ground. The moment he landed he let out a loud gasp that turned into a strangled cry. Tony stepped forward and caught him.

"You're back. You're alright. Hi."

"What was that?" Peter then asked.

Strange looked up and locked eyes with me. The look of despair on his face hit me and I had to hold back a sob. Instead, I nodded my head. Strange turned away from my gaze and tried to compose himself.

"I went forward in time to view alternate futures. To see all the possible outcomes of the coming conflict." Strange told everyone sounding breathless.

Tony then looked over at me and I nodded. I saw him sigh as he turned back to Strange.

"How many did you see?" Quill asked Strange.

"14,000,605" Was Strange's only response as he once again stared at me, this time with a look of sadness.

"How many did we win?" Tony asked, sounding scared.

"One." I answered before Strange could.

Everyone stared at me in shock. Tony's face was the worst to see. He knew I had seen even more futures than Strange, but he didn't know how many of them resulted in our victory.

The gravity of the situation hit everyone hard, and they were finally ready to listen. We all circled up and Strange and I relayed the plan.
