Forget me Not [COMPLETED]

Part 46

"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean we can do it- if you don't want to, we would love if you can present though but... like you don't need to push yourself if you aren't comfortable." Yuvi looked worriedly at Rehan who just gave him i-have-had-enough-of-this-shit- look, "We have already talked about this like 100 times- everyone agreed right? I am giving the presentation and that was the conclusion of all the time we wasted on this useless conversation, I am touched that you are so worried about me but now it's getting a bit annoying." Rehan said before focusing back on his laptop.

"Did you take the day off? I told you I am fine." Rehan said as he spotted Sana with Anu, "She isn't here for you. She is here for me, stop living in your dreamland." Anu smirked hugging Sana, to which Rehan looked flustered making Sana and Yuvi laugh. 

"Are you nervous though?" Sana asked Rehan, "Hah! you wish." Rehan said before pulling Anu and Yuvi with him going backstage for their turn. 

"Please don't let it get messed up." Sana prayed folding her hands as she could hear the bustle going outside indicating the arrival of guests.

Sana quickly got seated on the nearest seat to the stage she could find.  Sana watched as the woman clad in a blue suit walked in followed by a few men, She was simply dressed and looked elegant and kind, without any formal introduction Sana knew it was her. Rehan surely got his features from his mother- there was no denying it. As if she could feel Sana looking at her, she looked back and smiled at her, to which Sana bowed her head greeting her politely. 

Sana felt anxious as groups after groups came and presented their projects, Sana was excited to listen to the projects and creative ideas everyone had but right now she wasn't even able to hear what the person in front of her was saying- it was their turn after this group was what all she could think about. She took a deep breath trying to calm herself, "They will do well." She muttered as she clapped with everyone else in the auditorium, signaling it was show-time now.

Sana stared at Rehan as he walked up to the center of stage, His eyes wandered a bit and Sana could see the person his eyes stopped on, she leaned a bit so she could see Riddhi's reaction-  

Riddhi had her gaze fixed at the sheets in front of her- Sana could sense how she felt, she simply didn't had the courage to look at her son, when he looked at her- Guilt washed over her face and Sana could swear she saw tears roll down her cheeks, even when Riddhi has managed to hide it well between people. 

Sana looked back at Rehan who fumbled as he tried to speak, his voice cracking his gaze fixed on his mother. This is bad- Sana thought to herself, before taking her phone out as crowd started whispering among themselves. 

Sana turned the flashlight on- she bite her lip before putting her hand up flashing it directly on Rehan, who took a back as the light flashed directly on his eyes, bringing him back to present. 

Rehan looked at the audience and could see Sana mouthing, "What are you doing?" as she covered the light quickly with her hand, apologizing people nearby.  Rehan took a deep breath, as he fixed his gaze on Sana, he tapped on Mike- quickly beginning the presentation. 

Once started, Sana could see why Rehan was the best person to give presentation- Rehan went on smoothly- hooking up the audience in presentation as he spoke, Sana couldn't help but be impressed and thank the stars to save the day as Rehan walked down- in cheers and applause.

Rehan felt like the stage will swallow him up- The woman won't even look at him, Rehan let out a chuckle- yelling at himself to expect something. All the memories he wished to get rid of surfaced again- his mouth went dry as all he could see was a small boy crying and begging for his mother to stop. 

That was when something flashed in his eyes- and in that dark auditorium all he could see was her- Sana, he couldn't help but smile- at least he wasn't alone anymore, she was there, she was there for him. Rehan thought as he took a deep breath in switching his presentation on. 

I am doing fine. I am Rank no.1, I will show her. I am not letting my friends down because of the woman- Rehan muttered before looking back at Sana who nodded slowly, She trusts me. Rehan smiled before beginning his presentation-

"YOU WERE AMAZING!!! I won't lie I got scared at the beginning but thanks to Sana! Oh god I am so thankful that she was here today!" Yuvi lunged on Rehan as he came backstage. "Yeah, yeah thank you! Thank you." Rehan patted his back as he smiled at Anu, who was delighted that the event was done. 

"It's finally over, now we go out before the finals start! YES! I cannot tell you how happy I am." Anu said as she gave Rehan a side hug as soon as Yuvi left him, to which Rehan shook his head at their cute antiques.
